"Men like him like to talk so much, they eventually tell you how to destroy them." Mizu learned this back when she first dueled Bloodsoaked Chiaki in episode two as a young girl. He laughed after striking her and told her, " Your foot announces your thoughts," which is how Mizu beat him years later in their second duel. She listened for the sound of his footsteps when she had her back to him and deduced that he was going to make a leaping strike, so she made sure to aim for a high angle when throwing her blade.

Mizu and Taigen were definitely having a moment, except Taigen couldn't handle his feelings.

Ringo didn't use the big guy as a shield. He used the horse saddles. Worth a rewatch on that scene. I too was confused at first.

I am loving Jaby-Michael pair up so much. They both articulate their thoughts and what aspect works for them very well. Usually it would be one articulating well and the other just goes "yup what he said, I agree with him completely". But here they both are well spoken about their feelings which makes the discussion that much more interesting.

Agreed. I actually prefer Michael over achara now as i feel they both match each other well intellectually especially understanding the technical side of filmmaking.

0:58 as someone who is also mixed (half-black and half-white) I also really appreciate media that not only has representation, but really explores what it feels like to not belong anywhere and the isolation and confusion that you feel sometimes and trying to find your place in the world
