@@michaelbujaki2462 Can confirm for Germany. Im a Paramedic here and its always a Pain in the Ass if someone dont move over that stupid red light, its blocking the Way uneccessary, there is often no Space (Because of Curbs/Lights/Sidewalks or simply traffic to move around it

Yeah I can confirm that. Especially in a big city like Berlin it is necessary! Already hat to run a red light a few times so a emergency vehicle can pass. It's not that difficult to be honest. Always raging when I see people don't make space

Same for Poland, you're allowed to go through the red light.

Here in the UK, most people do drive past the red light if it's a one lane road or there is no way for the emergency vehicle to overtake. It is reasonable to slowly drive forward until you create enough space for the emergency vehicle to overtake.

Sadly we need to retrain a lot of blue light drivers as they are a real danger to other road users. I have many examples of vehicles being forced on to pavements, across red lights and across junctions in to the path of other vehicles. 95% of the really poor drivers are police. Shouting and waving arms about does not make a red light turn green any faster or make a space appear on a road after a local council has narrowed it and built high kerbs to funnel traffic. I never see ambulances or fire engines being driven dangerously, it is only police and RNLI vehicles of all things. Not everyone can see, not everyone can hear, people do step out on to the roads as they are stupid. As for red lights, do NOT cross one unless a police officer in uniform takes control of a junction and stands in the road directing traffic. If they direct traffic and you are involved in any accident as a result of this direction, you can not be prosecuted. If you say you moved out of the way, broke the law and killed a few people by causing a crash, you will go to prison as it is NO defence. The same for bus lanes, leave the emergency vehicle to use it, do not move in to it. You are not responsible for poor planning, bad placement or lack of resources of emergency services, that's their problem.

yea so look and listen, when it passes you you can tell if it is using more than 1 siren tone and look behind it to see if any more emergency vehicles are coming it isnt that hard.

@@m1zxry_tt832 It's not that hard to not be misleading either but they are. i often times find myself looking in every single lane thinking one emergency vehicle had overtaken the other on the far side of me when it was actually one vehicle all along. It's annoying as hell and i wish they would stop doing that. one emergency vehicle, one siren. There's no excuse for an emergency vehicle to have more than one siren.

@@HannTheftAudio The purpose behind the multi-tones is to make it seems like more than one so people actually move, the more they hear the more likely they'll pull over or make way.

Those sirens are different tones. They’re used for different responses. Wail/Yelp/Phaser are the tones that are usually used. Wail is for when you want to project your siren forward. This is good for long straightaways. Yelp/Phaser are used when you’re coming to an intersection. Those tones project the sound waves sideways 360° instead of out forward like the wail tone does. There’s also a rumblr, which is a low frequency siren that was designed so you could hear it better and feel it too. A rumblr will work with any siren tone. American fire trucks use a “Q” siren, which winds up and down with the push of a button/pedal on the floor of the fire truck

In countries like the UK using multiple sirens with one emergency vehicles is not commonplace. More so in the US or other countries.

@@justincase6645 I agree it's not always possible to do what's shown here but at least it might give inexperienced (and even some experienced!) drivers an idea of what to do - rather than slamming the brakes on in front of a Fire Engine and getting splatted!

@@janenewman9388 i see your point , obviously i do , but to illustrate your new driver scenario , try not bumpinb up onto the pavement , and finding your the only vehicle that hasnt ! , try been at the head of a queue at a red traffic light, you know when the emergency vehicle is supposedky goung to turn the blues and twos off until the light turns green , only they dont they kerp blarring at you to make a mistake and move over the solid white line , in turn creating a fine for you Why dont emergency vehicles use the bus lane ? Because they are not allowed too but they are quite happy for you too , The problem is and it goes back years ( from a time this video seems to have been made ) hospitals have been closed down , emergebcy journeys are much longer , at the same time traffic has grown to a huge amount of vehicles competing for road space , add into the ewuation , energency trips now have time targets , which means , your video goes out of he window , we call thst the real world , oh in case your wondering i did drive large vehicles for a living the last 20 years ,i have seen the scenarios i have described regularly ! @@justincase6645 You make some very good points, and obviously as a professional driver of large vehicles you definitely have more experience than I do - those definitely can't be easy to move out of the way! When I was young I wanted to be a lorry driver like my favourite Uncle - I never did though he did let me drive round the yard in a British Leyland Road Train (I think that's what it was) and I only managed to use first gear and even then I had to stand up to depress the clutch! I don't think I'd have been much good at it for a living so kudos to you for doing it! I'll think I'll stick to my Micra :-) Best wishes to you too.

on a highway, yes, on any road, your completely wrong. emergency vehicles need as much space as possible and if u are still moving even if you’re going opposite direction, you’re in the way.

They can’t force you through a red light! However. The law also states that if instructed to do so by a police officer you can go through a red light!

They are experienced motorists. If you look really closely they skilfully pull alongside without coming into contact. They are probably our members ;o)

As for the bus lanes: often they are empty and can easily accommodate emergency vehicles. So don't block of an easy route by pulling into any kind of free lanes, e.g. bus lanes. Also goes for free lanes on crossings. If there free space, DONT BLOCK IT.

If my braking causes you difficulty then you where too close in the first place. If I need to stop in an emergency, you should be able to as well. Don't tailgate and heavy breaking won't be an issue for you.
