I think you missed this in episode 12, but this is the last match of second selection. They make a team of 5 people to advance to the third selection where they play the world class players, 5 V 5.

your position analysis is on point, some of them seems to have more suited positions than striker, like Tokimitsu the muscle guy is great at defence, keep barou in check almost whole game

Oh true, him too. And not even like a Defensive midfielder, but like a straight up "back" I could also see Gin (I think that's the name of the black and silver hair guy) as a Defender too I feel like I remember him making one save off the crossbar or something, he's agile and he's also willing to sacrifice his body.

Blue Lock has many players who have aptitude for FW or higher. But even so, they have an ego that says, “I want to win with my goal,” which is why they are here now. I love them because they keep fighting for their dreams, not whether they deserve it or not.

18:50 All of Team X was shown to pass first stage of second selection except Igaguri (monk guy). Naruhaya is only one to be eliminated in second stage of second selection. Bachira is with Rin. Isagi and Chigiri are together. Kunigami is with Reo. Raichi (shark guy) and Gin (silver hair) are with Wanima brother who don't talk. iemon, Kuon and romantic guy (the only one i don't remember name) are together. But since there is unknown guy joining Niko and Zantetsu it might just be Igaguri. But that is just a theory, not spoiler since i am exclusive anime watcher.

Bachira is literally a winger. He's not meant to be a striker but he could be elite as a winger. The best pure striker at Bluelock is obviously Barou. Bro is like a Ronaldo Haaland mix

yup yup your analysis is so good. did you play football before? and no, ego did play before, and mentions he did when anri tells him he only eats ramen in one of the earlier. as far as even the manga goes, there's very little info on what ego played as, but he did play before. barou and kunigami are 100% the only pure true number 9 strikers we've seen. Isagi and Rin are better off as Offensive Midfielders. you are right about that, that is all i want to say

@Laure Notue Bro this isn't a spoiler, in episode 5, Anri asked Ego if instant noodles is all he eates, then Ego answers with "It's overcompensation. When I was a player my dietary regimen didn't allow me to eat this stuff." Just because people don't pay enough attention when watching stuff saying something that I will repeat: has been stated before isn't a spoiler. When I was online, I have seen manga readers "theorizing" that Ego was a player, and I was just there like bro it ain't no theory it has been stated already and I didn't even read the manga it was in goddamn episode 5.
