Here's my Blue Pea Rice recipe! This rice is not only lovely to look at but is light and fragrant too! For the rice, I'm using Paddy King's USA Calrose rice because I like how it clings together and has a toothy bite. bit.ly/LazPaddykingUSCalrose
To give the rice it’s vibrant color, I used a new technique which is even easier to do than the traditional method! You’d be amazed by the method for those of you who have cooked Blue Pea rice before!

The blue pea flowers really give the rice a beautiful colour. The Nasi Lemak looks so yummy and appetising 😋 Thank you so much for sharing this yummy recipe.

Can u still taste the "lemak" of the rice since you substitute santan with extra virgin coconut oil?

Instead butterfly pea flowers may be added in boiled water n used for cooking rice

Yes, that is the traditional way of doing. Mine is a new method which I think is easier and give nicer results

Does the finely cut blue pea flower in the rice disturb the texture of the rice, especially when chewing the rice?

Nah, it doesn’t 😀 you can see from the video that they pretty much shrivel to tiny shreds and disappear
