Blue was kind enough to send me the Spark SL Blackout Edition to review, so I did just that and here are my thoughts. This new microphone should provide a well needed boost in audio quality on future videos!

So Blue sent over a new Microphone for me to use and review. Pretty excited to use this in upcoming videos since I know it will improve my audio quality tremendously. Anyway, more videos coming soon! :D

Hey, so my Blue Yeti broke on me and suddenly stopped recording audio on my Garageband. I tried re-plugging it in, making sure my volume was up and the mic wasn't muted, but to no avail. Any tips?

Maybe try getting a new USB cable. If anything on the yeti were to randomly break, it's probably that.

Didn’t even do a vocal test with it other then that it was okay for a review video, can’t seem to find one for rap vocals on it or at-least not yet

Great mic. It does have some issues with static buildup, but that’s more due to my setup. For singing, I definitely recommend recording at a low volume into your DAW then normalizing the gain in after. Works great on male vocals. Enough low end, but adds a nice presence if you’re a baritone.

Yeah it sounds pretty nice. Probably gotta spend some time tweaking it here and there just like with my Yeti.

Oh god, this is awful and so disappointing. The usb mic sound better than the xlr one. Just stick with a sub 150usd mic like the rode nt-usb.
