(0.o) Wtf did I just watch?! My oldest kid thinks it's a parody of Airwolf! What sacrilege is this! Was this made in Switzerland?! The first thing comes to mind is Swiss Cheese!

No, it's a TV series based on a movie by the same name. The TV-series aired alongside the first season of Airwolf, but got canceled because the producers thought it was too similar to Airwolf. The movie was released a full year before Airwolf first aired, so if anything Airwolf is a ripoff of Blue Thunder.
