As sophisticated as Blue Thunder was. She couldn't have started up as fast as they show, Plus they had a 50 Cal gun with armor piercing bullets shooting at it. It would have gotten destroyed before the rotors were at full power. The one chance they would've had in the real world,...Is if Frank activated the cannon gun & started firing all over & well....killing everyone.

Blue Thunder was shown in 1984, only 13 episodes, shown on the American Broadcasting Company Network on Friday Nights @ 9:00 pm (Eastern Time).

Blue Thunders aiming system seems to be a bit off. Aiming directly at the bad guys it only shot in front of them.
