I have been wanting to get some sort of reptile in my life for quite a while now!! And you can not imagine how hype I am about skinks at this moment!! Im just really afraid that im not allowed to have then in my country.. im gonna have to do some research about it!! But once more an amazing video, awesome content, really fun to watch and very informative!! Keep up with the amazing work!! Hope this New Year reveal to be an amazing one for you and the channel!!

I thought skinks couldn’t eat SPINICH This is what I found online: They are omnivorous with 60% of their diet being plant matter. In this post we'll talk about the blue tongue skink's eating habits and how best to feed them. Dark leafy vegetables are best for your skink - collard greens, kale, and red tipped lettuce - it's important to avoid spinach and iceberg lettuce

@@pvyj Ya’ll acting like it’s poisonous. Kale also blocks calcium absorption and people still say it’s good so why is spinach getting a bad rap? It’s perfectly safe to feed as part of a VARIED diet. You shouldn’t be giving them strictly healthy staples anyway.

They are not bad if they’re given as part of a varied diet. Just because they’re not as healthy as collard greens doesn’t mean it’s bad and that it should be avoided like it’s poison. They shouldn’t be given only healthy staples either because it can inhibit nutritional intake and makes reptiles picky.

Unless you think its animal cruelty why not?They are opportunistic animals.

Live crickets will evoke a live feeding response. Expect snappier skinks that run furiously around a cage that may (or may not) be designed for several body lengths of running 3 times their usual speed. May be dangerous with even usually calm sexed pairs as they may fight to gain their prey. May be possibly dangerous with small, torpid or sick skinks re cricket nibbles.

how do u have air circulation in a tank? In europa the minimun is about 1,20meter for a skink. i will get a skink too in a few months and he gets a 2meter terrarium.

Make sure to provide lots of hides.Otherwise they get stressed out.

when they are babies it is very likely that it won’t be able to find its food if the cage is too big. it’s best to start out with a 30 gallon and get a bigger one when the animal is too big to continue living in that cage. but when they are adults the recommended size for their enclosure would be about 50-75 gallons

Elfia's Animals I fed Mowgli when he was a baby every day and made sure to include a lot more protein then I would normally... now as an adult I feed him and Neera every 2 days!

gaby any pet store should carry fish tanks. Get a 15 gallon tank as a starter for your baby skink and get a bigger one once the skunk is an adult

This might just be mine or a stupid question but I have a blue tongue skink and as you know they like to burrow. I used coconut fiber and it seemed like everytime I took mine out she had it in her eyes and it was obviously uncomfortable so I mixed it with forest floor hoping thatd help and it did a little but she still gets it in her eyes. Do you notice that with yours?

Briana B from what I can see mine keeps her eyes shut too! I'm so confused how she gets so much in her eyes if she shuts them. Unless she opens them when I walk by and shes burrowed. I dont know.

I don't have a Bluie yet nut they are a beginner reptile so they wont be very expensive. I imagine it would cost around as much as a bearded dragon if not cheaper!

i payed $300 for the skink itself, $100 for her tank and screen (used), her food costs about $25 a month, her decor and everything like that was about $70, and i spend about $40 every month on bedding. so i’d say about $550 initially and then about $75 reoccurring. plus some extra incase lights stop working, something comes up health wise, etc....
