seth Shumate On Mello and Horn you can play basically all the high notes above the staff open on the F side of the instrument.

Edit after almost finishing the video: WHAT... DID BRO JUST TOSS THAT MELLO?? COME HITHER. TEACH ME YOUR WAYS OH GREAT ONE! I would completely break the second anyone did any vocal even resembling funny. **sigh** This is why my band director won't let us do vocals. :( Man, I hope that someday I'll be able to be in a drum corps. A female Mello is more common than a contra but less than a trumpet, I guess. Then again, them ladies don't normally join Drum Corps. :3 __-- Speaking of tubas, my sister plays tuba! I don't think that she's gonna join a corps, though.--__

Bushwacker1000 do lots of upper register lip slurs and chromatic scales. Build it up slowly, don't go to high too fast. Make each higher note sound clear, and once you achieve that, go for the next higher note and make that one sound clear. Rinse and repeat until desired range is achieved

Chris Marziliano I’m a tad interested on how you play so high comfortably? I looked up the transpose for jagged line, and I can play the high parts such as the ballad it’s just straining.
