When I lived and worked in Kuwait, the grocery stores there were two and three stories. They were on the gulf as well with a fresh fish market in the rear of these HUGE grocery stores. There were like a mall. They made Walmart look like a convenience store. The fishing boats would dock at the rear harbor of the grocery store and set up all of their catches on ice for the shoppers to come and buy after shopping in the grocery store building. They had the butcher area for lamb, chickens, rabbits, and beef; they had an area for fresh produce and all were an amazing thing to see and experience. You could get 10-15 lbs of shrimp that size for about $30. It was amazing! Grouper, snapper, sea bass, roe, crabs, prawns, eel, lobsters were all at about a third of what we would pay for them not fresh, but frozen in the United States. In the middle east, they also have a ban on any food imports from the west because of the GMO's. Everything they sell to eat is Halal (The equivalent to Kosher).

Gabe, looking at those shrimp boats like that reminds me of the 70s and 80s in Sarasota and watching all the shrimp boats from siesta key gathering up shrimp out on the horizon. Also from the 90s living on Anna Maria Island across from Cortez where there was various fishing boats including AP Bell. I remember if I was not fishing I would go to Bell's to get shrimp to throw on the grill and told them I needed the jumbos for fishing which you get at a lower price. Never tell them you're taking them home to eat.

Altitude changes the characteristics of cooking at same temperature. Higher you go the hotter you have to cook to get same result. And it’s harder to get fire hot due to lower oxygen.

I had a trip planned to Panama years ago and Boquette was one of the places we were going too ,,,Looks like a Beautiful Mountain town for sure ,,,, I was out in Casper Wyoming with my family visiting family who lives out there and has alot of land on the Platte River plus a cabin up on Casper Mountain,,,On 4th of July it was 43degrees during the day up on the mountain 🏔️!!! It was Awesome like our coldest winter days down here in SwFla ,,,This FLA Boy was loving the coldest 4th of July in my life !! Now we r back and it's Scorching 🥵 Hot plus No Rain this week over here in Naples !!!!

@18:53 A 9 inch fresh shrimp, that is a dream for me. I can get a 1 lb bag of shrimps that are 2 inches long and have been frozen for 8 months for $50. That was a good Panama trip.

The rozen part is sad. Ut consoul yourswlf. A pound of shrimp is a pound of shrimp. If you buy shrimp so big that you have to bite them or cut them into peices then you spent more than you had too. Big shrimp dont tadte better than little ones.
