Bluegabe...Jake is growing so fast you gonna have to start putting one of those shock collars around his neck. Even if he's really good, go ahead and bump him a couple times for memory's sake...LOL...He's turning handsome too ...Maybe you won't have to give him THE SPEECH.

Vannamei. Can you share or point to any literature of how they recycle from re-cleaned clear water and add salt(?) Normally, even after waste management (cleaning water), it goes back to the sea. The idea of reusing water makes it feasible inland I'll be going to a shrimp farm we have here in the Philippines on June 10-12, 2024. They were featured in the link below: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iauEa850vtaUfn0.htmlsi=w9-nw0KQJSJ5ieEZ Nevermind the local language. One pool produces 10x more (250-300k) than the one in the video. Most of the technologies probably came from SEAFDEC (Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center) that my sister used to work for as a scientist. Well, she's now in the US still doing nerdy stuff in laboratories. Technologies gathered from SEAFDEC are shared to ASEAN countries. I'll be going to SEAFDEC maybe later this year to meet her fellow scientists and hopefully learn more from them.

Just watching this video and one of the guys there landing a Triggerfish. It reminded me of the first time I caught a Triggerfish myself. I was fishing on onboard HMS Newcastle on our way to relieve the ships right after the Falklands campaign. We had stopped off at the US base on the Ascension islands to get mail and some supplies etc., and we were allowed to use the upper deck for a couple of hours. So I chose to fish as we were informed there were some large fish around! Anyway, I was using a Daiwa 50ln class rod and a multiplayer reel and bacon I scrounged for naiy. Dropped it down on a simple scratching rig and let it hit the bottom and wound in a couple of feet and slowly started winding back up. Well the bite came almost immediately and believe you me I thought I was playing a large Tuna or an eel or something!! I played the fish for around ten minutes, gaining line quite slowly but honestly the rod was bent nearly double early on! Anyway I saw the fish taking shape and eventually it broke the surface. But I was pretty surprised to see a fish of such small proportions to the fight! And as I was only using a 3/0 hook I was afraid the fish may drop off! Iidtakenly identified it as a parrot fish myself? But as I finally hauled it up the side of the Ship another of the crew identified a it as a Trigger fish! And what a fish!! I estimated it as around ten pounds in weight (It FOUGHT LIKE A 100lb fish) and after some pictures I went down to a lower deck and released the fish,! But I was most impressed with it's TEETH!! THEY WERE ! Just like a humans teeth just smaller. But WHAT A FISH!! COLOURS?? Like I have never seen before or since! We stayed anchored of for the night and fished off the feck aft and caught more Black triggers and then as the sun went down small Tuna and several Moray eels! And they tasted quite good too?ich nicer than Conger eels anyway!! Just sad I will never get to do it again.😢
