4 Rick Ware Racing cars are guaranteed starting spots, but Ty Dillon finishes 6th and misses the show. That is all.

So Cindric who is a lap down makes it in while Ty Dillon who finishes 6th doesn’t. I don’t get it. Noah Gragson could make it in without qualifying, and if Preece and Ragan are locked in they shouldn’t count. Ty should be in imo

Exactly. NASCAR over complicates rules that don’t need to be over complicated. Why can’t the next highest finishing car not locked in be in? Seriously a terrible rule that didn’t need to be in put place from my understanding of it. Ofc the spoiled rich kid in a top team gets out run by a spoiled rich kid in a underfunded team but still gets handed the spot 🤦🏻‍♂️

Really cool that an under-funded part-time teams gets an incredible shot to make the big race, performs exceptionally, yet the car a lap down makes it instead. Heartbreaking for Ty Dillon and all of Gaunt Brothers racing. They deserved that spot.

It is the first points race. The clash is an exhibition race and the duels are short sprints to determine the starting position for the main event
