Living in Halifax I got to see Shelley play during his QMJHL days. On and off the ice this guy earned every second of NHL ice time.

Rare clip of John happy. Actually hilarious to me how nice he is being while trying to tell the tv world why Jody would only get 5-6 minutes of playing time normaly

It was actually back-to-back games between PHI and NYR during those elimination days at the end of the 2009-10 season. They're referring to the game on April 11 here in the video, but PHI and NYR also had a game two nights earlier on April 9. Both teams had a home game each. Jody scored a goal in both games. He had 13m58s ice time on April 11 and 9m19s on April 9. Jody's complete stats in these two back-to-back games against the Flyers: Games played 2 Time on ice 23m17s (15sec on the power play) Shifts 35 Goals 2 (both at even strength, one wrist shot and one tip in) Points 2 +1 PIMs 0 Shots 8 Hits 7 Takeaways 1

Torts forgot to mention Shelly had the only rangers goal in that game. Seems like a small point he missed.
