For this video, it was time to get rid of that terrible tire poke and fix the stance of my 240sx. I wasn't going for a crazy slammed look, but just a nice meaty stance with different wheels by ambit. I like the old wheels on the 240 better, new ones make it look like a hotwheels car. Haven't decided if that's good or bad yet haha. Can't wait for the celebratory skid when you get it back on the road ;)

The darker wheels do look better with that blue hence why more the people voted for the dark wheels on Smurf, but since he has two daily cars I figured he would do this to the 240 because he clearly seems like he wanted silver wheels for Smurf but he let the fans decide because he knew which ever Smurf didn't get the 240 would get.

why do so many people hate on tire poke? it can make a car look so much more aggressive, plus there are spacers to specifically make wheels look like that? those new wheels look sooo much better though!

+Coach Mcguirk I've been working on cars since I was 9, I'm 32 now. Everyone in the video looked like they have never changed wheels before, especially Mr. Patterson struggled the most. Oh and McTwirp, I can change tires with bars and starting fluid, I have 12 years working with 11r24.5s and 12x16.5s I've changed them in many different conditions. But it was a good try though

you must be a 32 year old with a bad back if you have been changing tires a inch off the ground or your shop doesn't have a lift #chooseone either way you been doing it wrong for what was that 12 yrs. Read any literature on changing tires on a lift page 1 "raise car chest high for better balance and leverage" aduh

I wasn't sure whether or not I liked those new wheels when you showed them first, but when you put them on your 240, that doubt vanished! Lovely looking car you have now, can't wait to see it run again!

Jordan Faver first time watching this guy and can already tell his old wheels were shit. looks like something you had to pick in need for speed for ps2 sorry but that's my opinion and your money so his choice... but the silver makes the car stand out and looks clean at the same time. when your rolling in black wheels or dark wheels it looks like ppl are running on stocks wheels with no hub caps lol.

I feel like deep down david wanted silver wheels on smurrf but everyone wanted gunmetal so he was like "ugh okay" but then he had 2 blue cars with gun metalish wheels so he gave bluejz silver wheels and they look so much better! Nice job david

IVI0NSTERxx8 thats a difference of 9.4 inches in circumference, plus whats added for the additional width, plus the design of the wheel and the amount of material used, not to mention the actual weight of the alloy

Lukas Rosa it doesn't matter if he's tracking or not. Fact of the matter is Ambit is a shady company that doesn't certify their wheels. So there is no way to the if that wheel is good or not.

Quick tip! screw one bolt, turn the wheel untill that bolt is at the lower position. It's a bit less complicated to grab the other bolts, tools whatever while holding the wheel.

I think the new wheels look way better on that blue personally, it'll be killer once you have the ride height adjusted! And to everyone complaining about ride height/offset/wheel choice/whatever, by all means feel free to go buy your own 240 project and start making build videos about how you would setup the car yourself

When you add the camber on the front, I think lowering the whole car an inch or two to close the wheels gap to not only make the fitment look better but will also slightly lower the center of gravity. Just throwing things out there.

Some good fender rolling should give you more rear clearance. Or bolting on some over fenders since molding them is too much

Not gonna lie, I liked the old wheels way more. I actually preferred the color to the new ones, and didn't really mind the poke. Nevertheless, the new wheels are nice too! Can't wait to see the car back out on the streets.

Personally I really liked the tire poke and the old 255s, I thought it was part of the look but hey it's David's car and he can do what he wants. I think the new wheels look nice but I way preferred the old ones

the thing about s13 chassis is that if you have wheels 9inch or wider, you cant have offset higher than 25 in the front.. the wheels/tyre combo will hit most coilover.

changing the width doesn't Fox the tire poke, offset does so you could have kept 10.5 wide and just got a slight higher offset wheel

looks way better with the new wheels! Next time just lift the car enough to get the tires off the ground. You only get one back so there's no reason to bust on simple things. lifting wheels and tires that high is just un necessary stress on your back. keep up the good work! hope the 2jz ends up better than ever

You're going to break a finger or two putting wheels on by gripping the wheel by the spokes. Always hug your wheels and grab them by the sides to put them on.
