Bluelight is a CIPP lining systems for laterals and small wastewater pipes that uses LED light to cure the liner. The lining system is designed for pipe installations from 4-10" up to 150' and can be installed in pipes with bends up to 90 degrees. The curing is completed by a set of LED's operating in the wavelength of blue light (450 nm).
The liner is a flexible felt with a polyurethane (PU) coating. The resin is a styrene-free vinyl-ester with a patented photo-initiator that reacts only in the wavelength of the light-head's LED's. The system offers many advantages compared to existing systems, which mainly use epoxy-resins cured with steam, water or surrounding temperatures. Cure times are up to 5 times faster than conventional curing methods. More than 50,000 successful installations world wide makes Bluelight a proven rehabilitation technology.
