Fantastic instructional video! Thanks for sharing. Can I ask what specific type of varnish is used? There are many types. Or maybe a picture of the specific product? Such a perfect bar wrap for Rivs and other lugged steel bikes!

On your other bike with the bar end shifters, do you route the cables over or under the ESI grips?

Is it possible use a Anti-Slip Polyurethane Leather handle bar tape over the ESI grip instead of cloth/varnish? Also, is the twine necessary or cosmetic?

I’m willing to bet that’s it’s an amber colored “shellac”. I use it to finish my cotton wraps and it’s wonderful once cured and looks great. Got my tub of shellac at Lowe’s
