In this video, I review my current method of preparing models for BlueSkyPlan Ortho. This cuts down the MeshMixer work to the bare minimum. Allowing the BSP software to work MUCH more quickly. Therefore, saving you significant workup time.

Great videos btw. Just curious what the print time is for a 9 horseshoe setup? and then alcohol and curing processing? So total time from print to ready for aligner suckdown.

Typical print time is three hours and the processing time is an additional 45 minutes. We soak them in IPA for 15 minutes in two separate paths. Then cheer for 15 minutes, but that is technically optional. Realistically, each of those steps could be done in 10 minutes each, but our outlet timers are limited to 15 minute increments. Sort of silly, but easy enough. So, four hours is more than enough time for the whole process.

Baron Grutter DDS thanks for the info. I’m really looking to utilize it for making retainers. After someone gets up to speed on the software side - how long does it take to set up the models for printing?

With free software like MeshMixer, it's a 3 to 5 minute process. I use a software called D3splint and it takes less than two minutes.

Do those build platforms print? (will there be those rectangular bars across the back of each model) Thanks!

Yep. They print. I'm actually going to update the file tomorrow with slightly thicker platforms. They've worked fine for us, but some have had issues with them being a bit to think and peeling off prematurely.
