How I beat Any Radiance

Hiya! This video is a bit of a more storytime-focused recap of my journey of beating Any Radiance! I originally had scrapped this project, feeling like the topic didn't need another video, but ended up reviving it because i liked the concept quite a lot! Sorry for taking so long to make it!

@@jacobdoolan4978 no, it's just natural. celeste's d1d7 was made as a simple experiment, meant to be just possible with nerfing as little as possible. it made it the 3rd hardest map in the whole game, and it's dreadful, but it exists and people beat it

You know, the fact that you're the tenth, and not the first, second, third etc. really allows me to understand the scale of all this. I imagine a few people have beaten it since you, but of the hundreds of millions of internet-capable people, of the however-large player base in Hollow Knight, fewer than twenty (i'd imagine) have beaten Any Radiance. And you're one of them. If someone's first, you don't quite get a sense for the time scale that achievements like this happen on. But the tenth after several months (over a year?) paints the picture.

The absolute best training for fighting Radiant AbsRad in the base game, is by practicing and defeating AnyRad in the mod. Because once you get back to AbsRad, her attacks will seem slow, easy to dodge, extremely readable, and just much easier.

I had a dream where I beat Any Radiance first try. I woke up and was immediately disappointed. Ans jsut to make it more dream-crazy, I took a video on my Switch, (which you can't do for Hollow Knight) and said people would have to believe that I did it because I can't mod a Switch (which you need to do to fight Any Radiance). All in al, pretty weird dream.

Very well edited video, and congratulations on the clear! I do have a question as more of a Hollow Knight spectator than an actual player (I need to finish my first run... eventually). Is the pink version of your UI assets just an aesthetic mod, or do they actually mean anything? Given that Hollow Knight doesn't tend to use such bold colors, I imagine it's just the former, but I am curious.

The pink knight is a custom modded skin i've applied using the CustomKnight mod! It is only visual, and i usually have it on whenever i do practice or other modded stuff to make my character look really cute :3

Turning around quickly aftee swinging with quickslash can slightly increase swing speed because the coolsown time is lower than the swing time with quickslash
