You should definitely watch the regular version of Super Mario Bros. with a liquid nitrogen floor, as well as the radioactive waste one. By the way, if you've paid attention to some of the recent Level UP episodes, you'll see images in the end cards of Level UP, Wolfie, and Plum looking to the background at Level Down, who is in the distance.

btw, these "speedrun" animations, are likely inspired by either Scott Falco's "Totally Legit Speedrun" animations, or TerminalMontage's "Something About speedrun" animations. As both of them uses speedrun as the focus of the animations. And are the only other ones I remember watching those kinds of animation videos. Of course, the Level-UP speedrun animations don't have plentiful use of the real speedrun tricks in them. Scott Falco's "Totally Legit" speedrun animations do have real speedrun tricks them while still having things happen in them that do not appear in a real speedrun. Such as characters in the game being confused by the what is caused by the speedrun tricks. Like, in his Wind Waker speedrun animation, because Link (or Stink, as he calls his Links) sequence broke, Tetra has no idea why she's at in front of the cage that Link's sister Aryll is at, because Link skipped all the story events that were needed to make sense why Tetra was there. Scott Falco is now a game livestreamer using his "Toontuber" avatar self from his "salt" videos, last I checked. A self insert he put in his "salt" videos in bits of the video, which is his video series where he talks about his thoughts on a game

Regarding US Super Mario 2, it’s amazing. It’s arguably the hardest in the series and it’s such a different animal altogether. There’s a book from Boss Fight Books chronicling it and how it came about from Doki Doki Panic which actually came from a prototype for a Mario game to begin with so it went full circle!
