I recommend Pixelcraftian's Mario Calamity and SMSC series, they are both very entertaining (And long so it would take a bit of time to see the entire thing (In order is best too))

Darby, I will explain this to you. This is classic Mario, the Mario we’ve grown to love. In the game that this Mario is from, fire flowers, if you are small mario, they act like a mushroom and only power you up the amount a mushroom would.

It would be cool to have, a whatever Mario touches turns to stone power up. It's fun and makes you think. A Mario level within an object would be nice. I have played Multiplayer in MM2. It was real. Endless isn't a great addition, at least you can do Super Worlds which kinda comes close to the 100 lives challenge. You do a great Mario too.
