Nice Jack! I ended up abandoning the one I made for me. I adapted it with a thumbwheel pot on the dual handler I had to try to focus while handling the whole thing. But it didn't work well. So hard to make everything at the same time. But I loved the challenge of making this thing to work! thanks for sharing!

Yea sounds like that would be difficult, this is mosty so someone else can pull focus for me while i walk around with a wireless video feed, Sorry it didnt work out, if i can mount this box on the handle of my FlyCam Galaxy Arm it will be a good use-case

Hi! This is an incredibly cool project sequel. Really need instructions, could you describe step by step what to do!?
@JackToth Жыл бұрын
You would need a bit of background with Arduino coding/wiring, if you have a look at the instructable. I couldnt find a way to make it barebones easy without having to mass-produce a bunch of kits for people :/ Theres plenty of arduino tutorials tho to get you started! A big one too is tutorials on configuring that bluetooth chip!

@@JackToth Thanks for your response! I was able to build and run HM-10+FollowFocus Crane 2+Your Android app! But there are two problems: 1. Everything works for about 30 seconds - the wheel is spinning, everything is fine! But then it stops! Only one thing helps! Remove the cord from the lower port (TX), insert another wire with power (poerbank). Insert again the cord with TX commands. 2. without grounding the lower port, my signal transmission doesn't work Help please! Thanks

Interesting,, since the battery is charged through that port you must have a low battery situation happening, leave it in to charge for a long time and see if it works longer than 30s. 2. This was years ago now but i thought i had measured continuity between the grounds of both USB ports of the motor, so the bluetooth chip shouldnt need a reference down there, maybe i was wrong!

This is awesome. I think the instructables link is missing.

Should show now! Going to add stuff to it later this week for this build

excellent work, do you think the transmount motor (Max version) model CMF04, could work? Which protocol use?
@JackToth Жыл бұрын
There was another youtuber who commented on my original video for this motor reversing, sounded like that motor had a similar or same protocol (though a battery is not built in, would need some external supply voltage)

Hello Jack! How can I get in touch with you? I have seen your project and I have some proposals to make you!

This projects mostly wrapped/ closed up. Hoping to start some new ones this year. With the base code on the instructables what else is there to suggest?

Quick question. Is it possible to use this gimbal with an external motion control software as a pan-tilt head?
@JackToth Жыл бұрын
I’m sure it could be transfered, the instructable has the base code algorithms that need to be sent over the bluetooth or hardwire

@@JackToth thank you.! Time to see if this is possible with my Weebill S

@@kartikeyabhalla6358 Did you make any progress with the weebill s? I'm intrested as well to use it as a pan tilt head on a jib but did not find anything related on the web. Thanks!

@@DorinHotnoguFilms haven't attempted it as yet as my knowledge on this topic is extremely limited
