I own a JBL Flip4 and decided I wanted something smaller for travel. I went to Walmart intending to buy the JBL Go2. When I listened to the display model, I was disappointed. Then I listened to the Baby Boom XL and was thoroughly impressed and it cost less. The Baby Boom XL seemed to have fuller, richer sound. I bought the Baby Boom XL and am very happy with it.

I still use these speakers, last night I was using the JBL for watching TV, it has the lowest latency out of the bunch. Then I use the Altec while in the shower when streaming music from my computer. I use the Sony for my CB and Ham Radio. Overall... they all still work. Thanks for your comment, Cheers.

Thanks for comparing these 3 speakers. I came here because of your reply to a comment in your review of the Sony, saying the JBL was better than the Sony. I followed your link for the Altec Lansing- discontinued. Great reviews, btw.
