Demon Hunter would have won if he had order correctly his attacks at 4:20. He lost 5 damage for attacking the 8/8 instead of using the nova first

That first match actually hurt to watch imaging the opponents perspective. Kibler got so many topdecks AND the 7/7 probably gave some of, if not THE best cards to deal with what the DH had on board at the time.

I mean, the demon hunter had an amazing curve to burn out Kibler, and while kibler was incredibly lucky to get every tool he needed, let's not pretend that DH didn't get just as much luck as Kibler did

Yo brian i just hit Mythic with NAYA adventure,I am maybe the only person in history of mtg arena to hit mythic with naya deck from bronze 4.I had to brag beacuse naya is the only fair color among all others overpowered archetypes in Bo1.

Yes, I think it probably is, does have some value from the repeatable effect but as Trump pointed out, it's basically just a more expensive earth shock.

@@pinny0101 this comparison doesn't make sense though since earth shock is a shaman card while mage hunter is demon hunter. It's also better than ironbeak owl since it has the potential to silence more than one minion, has rush, and more health. Demon hunter having another silence card beyond consume magic is a great tool in the arsenal considering how aggressive DH can be. It's most certainly a great card lol

@@yerpderp6800 yes, but earth shock has been in hearthstone since the start and has never been a good card, and it is potentially better than ironbeak owl but can also be a lot worse because it has to trade to silence. It does seem like it could be good in a situation like this where you silence and early game minion and it survives to be able to silence more, but I think generally it is just too low stats to compete.

Mage Hunter being a 2/3 instead of 2/2 is kind of disgusting. Utility, removal, AND it survives a lot of early minions.

Explain what downside there is to running Soul Frags in DH. Literally only insanely strong positives without any tradeoff. Gotta fulfill their power fantasy though ig :/

It makes Skull of Gul'Dan much worse by wasting the Outcast discount. It also forces you to run cards that Demon Hunters would never usually run, like 1 mana 1/3s without anything else or 2 mana deal 3 to a minion. Not exactly impressive, especially on a class built for intense aggression with only a couple cards designated as more "control" cards.

Spoilers! the first match was terribel zinc-coated at 4:23 jingyu patron missed 5 damage which would have won him the game and at 11:10 there is not much of a reason to attack the taunt. :/ as to my knowledge the patrons are blizzard employees (correct if I'm wrong) so I guess it's more important to show of the decks but it's ruins the fun if the opponent isn't trying to win :/

People thought the card was bad because we were under the impression the silence went off AFTER the attack was finished but before the deaths happen, not DURING AND BEFORE THE DAMAGE CALCULATION. So I figured it would be like you’d take out the divine shield with your attack and then the minion would be silenced, not that you’d remove the divine shield before even attacking.

You’re talking about Magehunter, right? It was pretty clear what the card did (‘perfect counter to Edwin!’), people just didn’t think it would see much play because Consume Magic, a one mana silence which draws sometimes, didn’t see a huge amount of play, so why would a more expensive silence see any? Very much depends on what’s meta

Yeah, people knew that it would work *before* the attack because it said "Whenever this minion attacks", not "After this minions attacks"
