theeroom hi didn’t checked the codes, due to engine pressure or if new copper are not replaced in service.

Hey great video, I have the same car and noticed the nut your removing at 4.50 has a small bit of oil showing, would this be a bad injector or an O ring gone? thanks

Darren Hudson hi it’s due to bad copper O ring and fuel leak from the injector leak off test at the start of the video.

after changing the seal you do need to crank the car for a long time to release the air until it fires up

Guys i have replaced my leaking injectors and the coper washer and put it all back together properly and its still leaking... i have cleaned the injector and the hole but still leaking any help guys ????

Hayden Andrews hi as long as you can screw the injector puller into the injector will do the job, you are replacing it anyway! Should be m14

You can put a price of cloth or tissue paper, if it falls into cylinder you can use vacuum cleaner to get it out :)

This engine is all wet in oil. The video shows that the injectors have worn copper seals. Hopefully, before reassembling everything, the injectors have been cleaned with ultrasound but above all a calibration for each individual injector.

Ronak Vaghela you should clean and start the engine and investigate the oil leak or is it fuel leak? Then fix your concern

Normally you can use a long thin metal (pick tool) to pry or move the copper seal. Or try using small amount of lubricant.

hello, i was hoping you could help me out. I have a 2015 328d and last night it threw a code saying "Injector #1 At Max learning" Code P02CD Car runs and drives fine, doesnt hesitate or anything, Gas mileage is the same. and theres no fuel leaking or abnormal noises coming from engine or injector rail. Im wondering what you think i should do

Mustang Motors when doing a leak off test, is a perfect result 0 fuel leak? Or should there always be a steady small stream of diesel that comes out of each? I saw your video and noticed two didn’t seem to leak any. But the others did.

@@nedas4417 just a knocking sound and small oil leak, the engine bay cover the foam was soaked in oil, had a bad smell when heaters was on. New pollen filter. New O ring on the injector, Engine cover was removed till i sorted out the soot stain. After that car was fine. 2015 - present day.

I have Diesel leaking (at injector #1) at the back of the engine and also gas leaking. I've replaced the seal and cleaned everything up nice and tidy and after a bit over a day (40 miles driven aprox.) the problem is back as it was. I don't know what else I can do. Here is a link to a video showing the problem. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p92Ih8uqvta-dI0.html Slacky power, fumes in the cabin, very bad fuel milage, These are the symptoms. At times I get the P0402 code (EGR related) but that wasn't the case when it was working fine + I had the inlet manifold, throttle body and egr cleaned recently with swirl flaps delete. Any suggestions, please? Thank you!!!

hi I have seen your video, the injector 1 is the front of engine. Anyway the best thing to do is remove the panel above the engine for the cabin filter and see the injector clamps are tight to specification and the injector return pipe are secured. Clean and start the engine to check is the way forward for the fuel leaks.

@@MustangMotors Kind thanks for your comment. I did use the correct specifications when putting things back together (torque wrench, etc), and ended up replacing once more the return pipe (tube) that was leaking (again). I cleaned up the diesel and seems fine now. I can smell diesel in the cabin but I'm assuming that will eventually evaporate at some point. Will check back after tomorrow's commute. Thx again and stay legendary! :)

I guess you have checked under the engine cover! If it’s not injector leaking. Does the ticking noise changes on higher or lower engine revs

@@MustangMotors it did leak from the the little rubber hose the thing that clips onto the injector under the cover and foam sound proofing, but fixed that. it knocks when cold and under load at about 1500 revs to about 2500revs.
