BMW 430d honest review

I sold the toyota Bb and bought something totally different. I decided on the 430d for its sleek look, decent fuel economy and general mod cons, which I massively missed in the shark. I do well over 1500 miles a month, so this had to be something decent. Which, all in all, this is.
fire over any questions or video requests, and I will do my best to respond.

Excellent cars eh! Mines not got all the extras, some are so much nicer than this one is. And still, it's easily the best car I've owned. Congrats on the new purchase.

Makes me miss mine, black on black on black (blue trim was black option) and it looked so good everywhere

Black looks so much meaner. But harder to clean. And if there's one thing I hate... its cleaning cars 😅

The indicater is a fast over take so it doesn’t have to have. 3/4 turn on the steering wheel to take it off mate , basically an autobahn quick overtake type deal.

Also, 6WB Digital cluster amazing.... I know a retro fitter in Southampton who can do it all for you including the power fold mirrors ;-)

just put a deposit down on a 2020 430d and appreciate your review. had a 325d coupe for many years and loved it. hoping the 430d is even better but will miss the manual.

@@kbrp5493 yeah it's nice tbh once In sports mode it makes such a big difference can always get a stage 1 re map...I just got a recall for the EGR valve from BMW so it's going in next Tuesday to be replaced FOC

I’ve had the 320d F30 and now 430d f36 the pull is night and day vs 320d. There’s just so much torque. Looking to map it once the warranty expires

Turn the acute stop / start button off before you wear out the starter motor... Code it out and finally do a software update on all the modules and maps... :-)

I've used the paddles in the x5 and they are actually pretty good when you get used to them

I do use them on country roads. But that's about it. Most of my driving is to get the boy and back

I had this car's predecessor, the e92 330d with n57 engine and I loved it. I could easily get 45mpg in normal driving and well over 50mpg on a run. It was however a manual gearbox. I am very tempted with one of thse (hence why I watched the video). The only thing I don't like is that the interior feels slightly cheaper on the newer car.

I get that if you're comparing it to the Mercedes or audi equipment. But in my opinion having a slightly more basic interior although feeling cheaper, is actually nicer for day to day use.

I’ve been looking at 1 series and I’m thinking why bother when you can get power and the looks of the 4 series . It’s exciting just the thought of getting one 👌

I had an older 1 series about 18 months ago. It was alright, but they're a bit plain looking. Not as practical. A good car, but I way prefer the 4 series.

Kinell i remember these first coming out 10 years ago. They looked so modern and new then. I honestly cant believe how old they look now already

I'm kind of glad I didn't get an xdrive to be honest. I enjoy turning off all traction control and sliding it around

Hello mate, I paid just shy of 14k for it with 91k miles on it at the time. I could definitely have got a better deal shopping around and buying private though. Still worth the money in my opinion.
