You can also trim that nub off the intake manifold that holds the engine cover on and it solves the issues of having to remove that other bracket and ac compressor.

What is the partnumber you got? Because acc to internet there are a lot of differences between the years. Because of the cable connection. I ordered Valeo 440990 for my 10-2010 535i

If you took the intake manifold off you could've just slide it out on a N54/55.

I’m thinking it’s bout time to replace mine my car is at 139k miles I have the same exact car as you. My sunroof barley works, the battery displays a discharge indicator when I start the car and car goes into park sometimes when I’m sitting at stop light based on my research all indicators of bad alternator cause my battery is new. What symptoms did you experience? Thanks

My car started dying on me one day on the way home. I pulled up MHD and looked at the battery voltage and it got as low as 9.5 volts. I didn't have a choice after that.
