While my electric scooter is hub drive. I can achieve 50-55 MPH with a range of 90-120Miles due to having 2 batteries & on hub motories. All for under $6K

@@NatsumeKonno I've just been in China recently and a lot of the electric scooters actually look quite practical. The best looking ones where the Ninebot brand. But of course, I only saw a small number of the brands on the Chinese market. I would love to see them available here in Australia.

I really like the look of this bike and the fact that you can remove the batteries to charge (I live in a 5th floor apartment so charging at home is out). My issues, range and availability of charging. I think the 11KW has a range of around 95km, so in reality maybe 70. Great if you're just using it to commute to work and back, but at £9,330 it's a bit steep. You could get a Honda Monkey for half that price and on a full tank (5.7 litres) you're looking in excess of 220km. Charging an 11kw battery at home is about 24p, so £2.64 to charge (at home) 3p per km. Monkey is about £1.46 for litre or £8.32 for 220km, which is about 3.8p per km. Monkey is a bit more expensive to run but you don't have any range anxiety. I am seriously thinking about a purchase though.

It's a nice looking bike. I like the teal seat, but drop those God awful gold forks - I'll take the black ones. A 60mph bike would be a solid city traversing bike.

Check out Ultraviolet, its an Indian EV startup, their bike F77 has a range of 340 kms, 10 Kwh battery, top speed is around 140 kmph, price is around USD 6000.

Electric Grom ? It cost as much as almost 3 Grom's after tax. The Grom can get up to 99 MPG. Ya have to maybe get a little closer to that Grom price if ya really wanna move people towards the EV Motorcycle even if it is just the Grom size. I love this but not 9000 dollars worth of love. You can an MT09 for that price in most places.

Way overpriced. A battery under 2kWh on a bike selling for over £7K. You can get an electric moped with these specs for around £2K, you are paying the other £5K just for BMW styling. They won't sell these in any quantity, it is only greenwashing, so that BMW can claim they manufacture a higher proportion of electric vehicles.

Price is not commensurate with range and top speed yet there needs to be a jump in technologies before I’ll invest in electric motorcycles. It makes more sense than the extra heavy cars but the tech is just not there yet for the price. Slapping a bmw logo on it doesn’t justify that at all. 4,000 tops for every option would be reasonable

It's not horrible if you want to play in traffic, and only in traffic. I ride an ebike to get away from all that. It's a little electric motorcycle or emoped. License, taxes, and the potential of dying at the hands of a distracted driver. What's not to like other than *_all_* of that.

So in bad weather ,busy traffic,you are almost invisible AND silent. I like my heavy sports exhaust, being heard is so important in busy traffic with the phone zombie car drivers nowadays. I see many almost accidents with electric bikes and scooters due to the lack of sound in my city.

There is no substantial evidence that louder pipes make people around you more aware of you, or you any safer and this is obvious given most of the noise is generated towards the back of the motorcycle. There is, however, substantial evidence that louder noise brings discomfort and negative health effects on people around you, something which is not specific to motorcycles, but it isn't helped when people try making vehicles LOUDER.

It's bound to improve. My only problem with this channel is that it's just button-press generated, the captions aren't adjusted for the translation. A bit lazy. I guess it gets "the word" out to more people, but it's not a full passion effort. He could make fun of the way he normally speak in English, make an extra mess of it, to make the audience appreciate the AI a bit more. A small clip for every upload. Same for French, Spanish, etc. If he'd do it in Mandarin, the Mandarin native speakers LOVE it when a European face speaks any level of Mandarin.
