First of all thank you very much for sharing and making such an easy thing that this ease motivated me to do it myself. This was my first time and it took me around 6 hours from start to finish. However, there is one VERY VERY important piece of information missing. When you put new bushing on the control arm then it is directional. Make sure that you insert correct side in. I learnt the hard way and that why it took so long and I was extremely frustrated at that time. I had to take off the bushing from control arm and had to put back the other/correct way and I damaged the bushing. I had another bushing handy too but I was too tired and just wanted to put back everything together.

Thanks for the vid. It ended up being an easier job than I thought it would be. I removed and installed both sides with no problems.

Great post! I bought all of the Lemfoerder parts I needed from you guys and just followed the instructions on this video. My son and I did it in a couple of hours. Easily the most difficult part was getting the old bushing out of the bracket and getting the new one in. Thanks for the video.

Great quality video guys! I'm getting all sorts of squeaks on my front and rear (95 E36 M3) 120k on it. H&R springs Bilstein struts lowered. I know I need to replace the rear shock mounts with something heavy duty. What do you suggest I replace on the front or additional in the rear? I would love to have it super tight and no squeaks. Thanks!

For regular DIYers, we don't have the fancy pressing machine, please give a link or any advice how to press the old pushing out and press the new one in? Do you think a huge C-Clamp works?

planning on doing this my son's e46. What size is ratcheting / flex head box wrench ?, as I am going to have to get one.

Depends on the exact model, but here's a complete list of the tools you need. i models (RWD) 2 jack stands Torque Wrench Philips Head scewdriver 16mm socket 19mm open ended wrench 22mm open ended wrench 22mm socket Pickle Fork 3 lb hammer xi models (AWD): 2 jack stands Torque Wrench Philips Head scewdriver 16mm socket or wrench 18mm socket or wrench 23mm socket or wrench Pickle Fork 3 lb hammer

FCP Euro Thanks, just needed to be sure of the size of the flex/ ratchet head box wrench. Haven't bought a set yet, but ordered them today.

i don't have Access to a machine shop where they can pop the bushing out. Can I just buy a bushing with the bushing bracket?

Hello Manaury, the bushings will need to be pressed in on the XI all wheel drive models, the rwd E46 models don't require the bushings to be pressed in.

I find it to be so messed up! like why can't they just come already in with a new bracket like the rwd bushings do. they charge $80 here where i live just to get them pressed in. smh

What size is the flex wrench that you used?

I believe it was a 14mm.

It's 16mm, in the video if you pause it at the right time you can see it. Pelican Parts DIY confirmed.
