Thanks a-lot for the video. Do you get any icon / sign on OBC screen when you activate cruise control after retrofit and reprogramming? I assume not, since it is not a default feature of the car?

I’ve just changed my squib and realised that it’s from a 3 series. Can I just swap over the control from the old one. I have also kept the original ribbon cables. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for this video mate managed to pull it off a day before a 1,000 mile drive! Well worth it for the price. Can't seem to get the cowling to fit on both sides, only clips to either one or the other. Did you encounter this issue? Real oem says it was used on my model

You should get a trim removal kit. They’re really cheap and avoid breaking some clips or scratching plastic stuff ...

Does anyone know the part number for the lower cowl that will fit the cruise control Stalk? Or I heard there is a template bmw came out with on how to cut your existing cowl. Where might someone find either the template or bmw part number?

Hi George and co…. I just had a questions. I own a 320d efficient dynamic that doesn’t have the cruise control. I wanted to retrofit a cruise control thus I purchased the unit and the new fittings. Would I need anything else ( such as the cruise control module etc) or is that all I need plus the coding? I hope to hear a response from either yourself or anyone else who knows about this query.

I've changed my SZL but because it was from a used car the VIN doesn't match up so I can't calibrate the steering angle sensor. I've tried looking for part 2, the coding video, but can't find it anywhere. Did it ever get made?

Hi, did you have any issues after fitting the rear wiper stalk to the non rear wiper szl? What additional coding/programming steps were required to get this to work? I've just been playing with an e90 szl for my e81 and after swapping the stalk over it seems that the szl needs to be reprogrammed for this to work. cheers

Not bad video , but "the main event of the video (coding) " is missed , and its not public for the casual people... i know how to do and not need it... also the car may need to add Dynamic Cruise Control Module !

Hello George! At minute 4:50 you talk about swapping the wiper stalk pulling out the stalk itself and disconnecting the ribbon cable. Is just easy as pulling the ribbon cable? It seems to be quite hard and i'm afraid to brake something

Hello, I want to add cruise control to my e91 2006. My question is whether I need to look for a spider (combined switch by part number) or can I just find a spider from the year of my car and have it have the same rear wiper switch as mine, etc., everything is identical to So far I only have a switch for the cruise control and whether it can be coded with a computer, e.g. Autel, which has coding functions. Rear wiper do not work for me, if i use only front wiper, It work, E90 to e87. I try to coding all but don't work for me, can somewone help me? Thank for the video

If you buy stalks without rear wiper functionality(sedan version) switching only old wiper control stalk wont work.

i don't think is that easy, im trying to do the same installation for weeks now, and guess what... swapping ur wheel and cutting 2 wires is not what is all about... most of them forget to mention u also need the cruise control module GM5 which is not the same as the comfort module GM5 ... and sure connecting the steering wheel to the main DDE or the car CPU is easy... but that CPU has to talk with the GM5 cruise control module... and if u don't have it ... u will get ur acceleration blocked and killurself... so most of this tutorials are 50% of the job... you should also show us which modules do you have and how u connected that cruise module to the main cpu. in my case for example, i have the comfort white box e46 series right? but i also need the cruise control unit, to control multimedia and cruise control, while the steering wheel wiring to cpu is correct i have no cables (25 pins wires) that go to the cpu from cruise control... so i find it a bit weird this will work without an actual cruise control unit... just placing a steering wheel and connect 2 wires cmon...
