How did you get the ring off the connector. 3 of my four pins are pushed in deep almost all the way in and I’m trying to see if I can push them up from behind so that wires from the harness can connect to the pins properly!!! 😞. Also the tip from the white wire of the harness broke off from trying to connect on the pin so much. Is there a way I can splice the white wire and try reconnecting the tip again or do I need a new wiring harness? Also I need to know if I can push the pins upward by opening that connector?

I'm thinking the ring that holds the connector is Remo Ed using channel locks or pliers. Yes the pins will slide out if they're not glued in place when fully pushed in. Yes you can put another tip or connector on the white wire. I'm not sure how you could open up the connector but yes you would be able to push the wire further into the connector

@@chrisbettinger2118 yes I was able to take off the ring and behind the connector there’s a back piece on it with the wires going through it. Not sure how I’m even able to push the pins upwards now since there’s a back piece behind that connector. There’s also like small plastic tabs on each 4 pins. Not sure if those even come off. I’m trying to figure this out

@Emilio Estevez my wires were glued into the housing. The wires should push up thru far enough to make a connection with the jumper harness which connects to the light harness on the car. If not you can cut that connector off and splice your jumper harness to the light wires and bypass that comnector

@@chrisbettinger2118 my pins keep sliding downward and I have to use like a small scissor clamp thing to pull them up. Is there a way to make the pins stay in place so that I can connect the wiring harness without the pins sliding inward? The pins have these plastic tabs underneath them. Is it a good idea to glue the bottom of the pins around the tabs? So that it can stay stuck and won’t slide?

@Emilio Estevez yes you can glue the back side of the pins/wires and let it dry- set up. The wire/pins should be in place and not sliding out when you connect the headlight pigtail.

What about pin 1?

Not used. Look at 2:30. Pin 1 may be used by the deadliest adapter harness but we didn't get one.
