Nice video. I am concerned that you did not use new fasteners and you did not mark your universal joint center bearing with the front section of the drive shaft in order to eliminate potential imbalance vibrations. My understanding is that the two pieces of the shaft are balanced from factory and should be re-assembled exactly in the original teeth position.

I think I’d have marked it so the shaft went back on in the same holes. 🚙

nice video. If you freeze it at the 13:40 mark you will see that the flex disc is mounted incorrectly. The arrow point to the flange from the transmission as the rotation is counter clockwise. documentation of this is on page 260-8 of the Bentley manual. Failure to do so will result in premature wear of your flex disc as well as a clunking noise in your shaft due to the spring effect of bolting this up incorrectly. the arrows should point to the output flange on the transmission. The arrow is visible at the 6 o'clock position next to the bolt you have your socket on. The disc should be rotated one hole

Didn't look like the centre bearing was preloaded. U must preload the centre bearing before tightening the bolts on it. Also no marks or mention of marking before dismantle as Propshafts are balanced and have to go back on the same splines.

you know you dont have to remove the second section of drive shaft that connects to your differential? It just slides out. Also flex disk is directional, watch how the triangle markings point on the original installation, replace the same way.

next time you decide to do the CB, you should PB blast it before you take the whole drive line out, that way by the time you get to removing the CB it will slip right off 1 or 2 taps from a 5lb hammer. Just a suggestion for easier removal.

Thanks for listing all the pieces and parts so well. I'm getting replacements for everything before I do the job just in case they are too corroded or I break them. The center supports use 13 mm bolts you say, but how long? Same question on the 10 mm bolts for the heat shield? Thanks I look forward to your answer. Great video. I'm using it soon.

the flexible disk has arrows that indicate that it has to go in the cardan, observe the marks you wrongly placed

There was no reason to remove the entire exhaust. There are several vids on YT that demonstrate how to do this effectively. Additionally, I purchased the Chilton Repair Manual, and they don't show the entire exhaust being removed. I would review both before recommending that others follow your method, as this process required more than what was needed.

The locking nuts that go on the back of the bolts on the guibo you show the nuts as 18 mm in the video. I'm trying to get these so I'm ready to do this job and everywhere I look they're claiming to be M12 lock nuts. Are you sure on the m18?

With the amount of rust on those fasteners, you should have sprayed them with a penetrant the day before you removed them, like PB Blaster or Aero Kroil. It was sheer luck that you didn't snap a bolt or stud in two by removing them dry and rusted.
