In this video I go over what parts are needed if you are planning on doing a automatic to manual transmission conversion. The car we will be working on is a 2003 BMW 325CI. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey doing a 6 side swap on my 01 325i from a 04 330i I'm down to the drive shaft and the don't mate I have a drive shaft shop near by can the just swap the connection point for the drive shafts. Side by side they look very close

You are a good kid and I'm sure you will be very successful in your new So. Cal. shop. Just an fyi, take a look at the "reddish" KZfaq videos about e46 repair and refurbishment. The complete sub frame repair and color matched powder coating of all under carriage parts, inc. bolts, lines, springs, shocks, etc... It cost about $25k but is an amazing result... Keep up the good work!

It's kinda hard to find a manual for less with the color, interior trim etc you're looking for.

He prices it out if you watched it all. Somewhere between 3k and 4K depending on who does the work and how much preventative maintenance you want to do.

This will probably go unnoticed but personally I bought an entire car 325i sedan with a blown motor and 6spd trans for $500. That way I didn’t have to worry about forgetting anything or buying parts, it’s going in an 04 325i sport package touring we bought for $900 with a blown torque converter seal (auto transmission was likely toast too being run dry) also bought a new clutch kit+flywheel and main seal

What about the clutch delay valve? Is it gonna stay or are you removing it? What's your opinion about CDV remove? Another great video, keep it going!

This is a crazy question. How strong are the e46 325xi 5spds? Reason I’m asking is I’m doing a VWtdi swap in my Land Rover Disco 1 that currently has a ZF auto. I want to swap in a Manuel. I am looking at the 325xi trans because it has a t-case. I would delete the BMW t-case and use the Rover case. The BMW has the starter on the same side as the VW. My train of thought is that the outputs of the 2 ZF trans might be the same splines, over using a manual out of an American 4x4. I can get this trans for a $150.

I recently bought a zf 5 speed transmission for a e46 (328ci manual swap), at the moment all I need is the drive shaft. I've read that I have to get the drive shaft specifically for a zf transmission. Is that true or?

Hi. What about the rpm. Will it remain at 6500 or with the ecu at to mt switch the rpm will change?

I do have a question about leaks under the car? I have a 2001 330xi with 245k miles leaking oil and drips of antifreeze in the front part of the car. The car runs good gut I sense that I should get to the source of the leaks before too long. Any recommendations?

How do you deal I think it's a neutral safety switch that doesn't allow the car to start unless it's in park or neutral... We did the switch from auto to 5 speed manual on a 98" 328i convertable & this was something we overlooked... Thanks for any help you can offer & all your useful content...

HELP! I have a manual swapped e46, I tried to get my car inspected by the DMV today and I have engine light on for 4 transmission codes. Do you know how to get them turned off? Should I unplug the auto transmission computer? 🤔🤷🏽‍♂️

Hey Man I Love Your Videos I've always go to your channel for info for my 3 Series. I have a question. My 325xi has a transmission issue. When it's cold it runs and drives great but when it gets hot it's like the transmission disengages the engine still runs but it just won't go forward or backwards please help.

Great work fella just wondering don't the technician is the USA Wear steal toe capped boots iv dropped a box on my toes but luckily it only dropped from a few inches but without them on its broken toes ! Ps when I say box I mean a transmission in England we say gearbox or box for short

I got a werid problem with my 2000 e46.. Its been sitting for a while while I was waiting to get a new engine for it. Got the engine in car running perfect, changed my steering wheel recently and now when I try to start it the horn keeps going off. Im pretty sure I have everything wired correctly. The new steering wheel is from a facelifted model but all the pins for airbag etc are the same. Can someone help pls

I have a 330xd automatic. I rally like this car and have put a lot of time and money into it to make it feel like new again. Im thinking abot swapping the gearbox since the auto really doesnt give the engine justice. What gearbox can i use? And do i need anything special for the xi or can i ditch the xi and just make it rwd instead? Really doesnt matter as long as its manual..

Sweet. Been weighing up pros cons for either swapping a manual 320i with 2.5/3.0 or manual swapping a 330i auto. High mild 330i autos are cheap here in uk plus you get 330 brakes & rear end 🤔

Where did you buy all the parts from? I have a 2001 330ci E46 that has an auto with 179,000 miles... it's starting to show age and is leaking dirty oil. I really want to keep the car because it's one of my favorite memories of my dad. Thank you, great video!

All of the new parts can be sourced from ecstuning.com or fcpeuro.com. Other used parts like the pedal assembly, driveshaft, manual transmission can be sourced from craigslist, the forums, facebook marketplace, or any salvage yards.
