Super common just the plastic clips giving out. It’s only a matter of time until the actuator themselves fail, I normally just do the whole lot at the same time

No MAP sensor on these engines, they have a MAF sensor clipped to the back of the air filter box. I replaced the belts/tensioners & pullers a while ago on this X5 before I started the channel

@@MTechGuy that’s where I am now. With the tensioner and pulleys. Explains why I couldn’t find the map sensor 🤔 a mechanic at a shop said his scanner read a bad MAFF Sensor so I changed the MAFF and drove to the art store. Ran really powerfully. When I came out to go it started then super rough idle and died not wanton to start again. Luckily I didn’t throw the old part away. I put it back in and drove home. It started right up. 😯 I had the air intake hood off to see the pulleys, maybe that’s why it died. Too much air at one time? We’re the pulleys difficult to change? Getting the fan bolt loosened?

Window regulator and/or the plastic clips. Replace both

YOU might only need to replace one of the plastic clips. Particularly the rear plastic clip. It breaks then the regulator tries to lift only the front part of the window so it sticks.

@@MTechGuy BY the way, parts are super duper cheap, even for us CANADUHIANS, AT ROCK AUTO. 54$ CAN delivered to Van Island from east coast and I get the whole motor assembly with the regulator. Takes only like 3-4 days

It sounds like it, when the regulators fail they normally go down and don’t go back up again. The front ones are similar, but the regulators have two rails instead of one

Your window regulator is failing, change it out before it ends up stuck down (which it will, and its normally raining when it does!)
