For anyone trying to make a cable: BMW part number 61130005197 is an individual cable with a plug on one end that will plug into the harness without issue. The other end is bare wire that you can connect to more wire or a 1/8" jack, whatever you want to do. You'll need 3 of these + some wire + a 1/8" jack to make the cable. Pretty easy

As far as programming it, yes we do. For the Aux cable, this can be picked up at your local BMW dealer for $30 - $45. Just get the one for the E85 Z4 or an E46 3 series, it's cheaper.

Thank you, i purchased an aux from ebay, it was all in the centre, so wouldnt work i have upgraded to cic and aux coded but was never installed moved the pins as you say and hey presti i can hear you through the car haha cheers mate

if my i drive entertainment option for the stereo does not have the aux option will i be able to benifit from this procedure.

Have the same car and year, i had installed an iPod adaptor and programmed it but I now wish to install a AUX as well. I was told that it can not be done because the iPod adaptor is already taking up all the space of i guess pins. In other words its impossible to have both iPod adaptor and AUX in the car. Is this true? If possible, i would like to install AUX in my car please provide A direction

Very helpfull video. I'm wondering why I didn't watch this video before buying the stupid oem cable. when i bought the cable came with red brown and blue cable. I installed the way you showed in the video but I replaced the brown for the black and the white for the blue. Was this a smart move?

I don't believe Brendin is supplying cables any longer. What started out as a remake/resell of the cable we sold him turned out to be a small business venture for him which failed him. Cable is very cheap and you can get it from you BMW or Mini dealer for around $30. Following this you will need to change your vehicle order to match the new option and code the car to accept the vehicle order and in most cases put your car to sleep and wake it up for it to work correctly. support euautohaus com

I got mine aux cable from 3 series part # 82 110 149390 for $40 bucks at bmw dealer and its the SAME AUX CABLE FOR 5 SERIES just different part# 65120153502 but you pay more $80, also come with instructions... not sure for 7.. the dealer's cut me a deal for programmer just talk to them.. good luck!
