BMW E90 LS swap godfather Michael Page takes us for a ride in the "OG"

In this video we take a trip to Houston, Texas to visit Michael Page of lse90.com/ and ‪@lse90garage‬. Mike is a long time friend of mine who has sorted through LS swapping the BMW e90 series chassis. He is continuously improving his products while supporting them with blog articles on his website, and a private Facebook group you can join called "Late Model E9X E8X LS swap tech".
Mike explains to us the history of the original car he swapped named the "OG", and paints a solid picture of what the swap entails overall.

Michael is the man. Wish I had found his page 3 months ago before I bought my 135i with bad turbos. I would have bought a 128i cheap and done a ls swap with out thinking about it. Now I'm torn. lol

damn If I didn't use my 335i for a daily, I would LS swap it when the engine goes. Only reason I dont think i could daily this is the fuel costs of a single turbo LS haha. Thats one of the perks of the stock setup sorta, you can have 700hp flow max+ twin turbo's but if you keep it out of boost you can get 19mpg. This is insanely dope though. Even without the turbo, the LS alone probably feels way better off the line than the actual e9x m3

You have to unlock the coolant temp in the cluster in a factory car. There is a hidden menu.

What motor are you putting in exact/what car should I get an LS from? I know everything about BMW's especially e90/f30s, but I don't know shit about american cars. But I want to do this swap. Have done engine rebuilds etc in bmws. Just don't know which LS to get/from what car/year. Any help would be great.

Really any of them are great. the 5.3 LM7 is one of the cheaper options out of the trucks. very common swap , probably what I'm gonna do with 4l80e and smaller turbo 600whp I'll be perfectly happy

Ici c est la e60 M5 v10 ce v10 etait fait pour des voitures formule 1 faut juste penser à changer les coussinets de bielles tout les 100 mil kilomètres un échappement sur mesure ta un sound de malade en Allemagne quelque un ont forger ce v10 twin turbo c est une fuser sont problème c est le greap 😋🤟

yoooo wait. that wind up toy car sound happens in my E90 328i too. do you have any idea what that is? i read it could be an ac compressor bearing but doesn't need fixed. makes it sound like its modded but its not lol. can hear it real good at 10:21 and 10:36

Very much the same on an e60 5series I'm guessing? I really like that platform and they are just as cheap The v8's are junk

5 series is slightly different but mike is working on a full setup for those cars currently, including motor mounts and accessory drive systems. His CAN box still functions the same on the E60 chassis.

Why would you even wasting time to swap a piece of shit LS on a BMW. Now your car runs like a wagon. Just JB4 the 335i and call it a day. American car is trash.
