In this video I show you how to install an F10 M5 wheel to any E9x series car, with all the controls working!

Steering wheel you need:
F10 M5 (no other spline will fit)
Adapter you need:

[The violet wire you have to cut is a white/yellow single wire]

Great Video !!! :) all the buttons and functions you had before works ? they are some more functions ? like the cruise control on my E63 LCI is on the left rod that mean it will be on the steering F serie too ? :) any issue ?

What did you do about the airbag wires ? Use the stock ones from the original steering wheel?

I got the solution for the paddles, didnt do it myself yet but a friend did! Hope u will make a video about it! So you have to Change the resistors in the new paddles and Connect them to the other Pins. 330-333 Ohm Down And 1000 Ohm Up. Then it will Work.

What for did you do re pinned small wire with 4 wiring? It is not in the manual from the adapter guide

you said in the description that the violet wire is the white/yellow but in the instruction manual it says to use the white/yellow for a different cable. Or are you talking about the yellow/white cable and not the white/yellow?

Is it the same for the saloon E90 (not M model)? Probably the best interior mod because stock steering wheel really holds this car back imo!

Hi mate you’d just find the steering wheel with no paddle shifters, you’ll be able to find the manual version of the steering wheel !

did you have to code anything? I have an X6M E71 and I also ordered a retrofit emulator and the steering wheel from the F series, but not from an M model. Am curious if the M button still works. Have ordered at ali express red M buttons like yours, but currently in the place are the buttons for limiter etc. so I think that there what must be coded. Or what would you say?

I would say straight off the bat if there’s no M button then it wouldn’t have M button capabilities! You’d have to try it! And no coding was needed just that adapter. Good luck with yours though man, hope it works!

The adapter doesn’t make the paddles work, that’s what I’m working on atm! So will be putting out a video how to get them to work

I’m pretty sure it’s just the e9x series. Way to check would be to buy a cheap e9x steering wheel and check if the splines are the same, if so it would fit! But yeah I’m sure the connections would be completely different.

I just did this on my E88 (E82 is same) and can confirm that it is the same process, including the same connections since the E82 and E90 use the same clockspring.
