I never knew adventure touring on a motorcycle could be so much fun!
Riding off-road on a motorcycle through mud, rocks, gravel, sand and anything else that presents itself is exhilarating. I tried to capture some of that excitement in this video.
Combine that with motorcycle on road adventures to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Tail of The Dragon, and other amazing places, its something that just cannot be beat.
The BMW F850GS handled everything I threw at it, it did not disappoint.

After months of debating 750 or 850gs, I unexpectedly took the plunge yesterday and caught a great deal on an 850gs. I wont take delivery until next week. So last night wanted to find some videos about the bike and came across your excellent videos of your experiences. "Wow nice job" is an understatement. I was feeling pretty selfish and guilty about the purchase last night as well. About 3 videos in, I came across this wonderful video you made here. The feelings I had, the choice of song, the beautiful photography literally brought tears to my eyes with joy and certainty I had made the right decision buying a adventure touring bike. Was almost a religious experience for me. Sounds crazy but for me was incredible the way it all unfolded and I wanted to tell you my appreciation. Buying a new BMW bike can make you feel guilty in ways, but now no regrets. This was an early retirement gift to myself after years of raising kids and putting them through college. So yeah, its important in the end to say I DID IT ALL. I cant wait to begin my adventures. Wanted to pass on my thanks. Thanks for all the videos theyll be invaluable. Youve already blazed the trails, and Im going to follow. Peace

Nice video. I recognize a lot of those places. Used to live in Mt Dora Florida. Now we are outside Seattle. Big change in scenery. And I have a BDR route really close. So thinking about upgrading from a street bike to an Adventure. You look like you had a lot of fun.

Many are around Mt Dora! Yes, it has changed a ton over the last few years all around Central Florida, but lake county has been developing like crazy. Still some good roads throughout tho.

Great video. Just bought one myself, but haven't taken it off road yet, This video made me even more wanting. Just one question please. What wind shield is that? As it looks much taller than the OEM. Keep up the good work and ride safe.

Thanks, much appreciated. Have fun when you go off road, it is a blast. The windscreen is from Madstad and it’s awesome. Not only do you have a touring windscreen, but it’s adjustable, and the mounting holes are the same as the small stock windscreen on the F850gs so you can put that back on when you want to go off road.

Why 850 over 750?

Good question. I went with the f850gs for a few reasons: More horsepower, 21 inch front wheel, and the Spoked wheels. Mainly I wanted something that was more off road capable so I could do BDR’s and other such trails. I felt the 850 fit that bill better.
