Thanks for this series of videos, they're very useful. I like your pratical approach using the bike's toolkit and your own alternatives to expensive OEM parts. I have a '93 K75S with 73000 miles.

Good camera angles, thank you. Lighting could have been improved. A nice conclusion would have been to address the fluid replacement needed.

I record these on an Ipod on the front drive - its not a professional set up. There is a follow up video on the fluid levels. I try to stick to one subject at a time. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9OKibd8zL23gKs.html

Great video, thank you for the help! Where did you order the clutch boot from?

Motobins or Motorworks.

so if the part is torn, it will definitely put out oil, right? Because they dont have inner seal, right?
@johnnysevengun4 жыл бұрын
That is right. The boot is the seal. They usually perish over time and weep a bit but this one split out - don't know why unless it is a defective part.

Exactly my question. Thank you sir. Mine had some oil in it.

Nice video, but you made one mistake @ 7:33. The play of the handlebar clutch lever must be adjusted at the lever on the back of the gearbox.
@johnnysevengun11 ай бұрын
No. If you do that you will lose the 75mm cable length. The handlebar adjusters work the same on all motorbikes.

@@johnnysevengun My apologies; I followed the instructions in this video, but after checking in a BMW manual, I see you are right. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/naiHZ6djz6rbYnU.html

My German Reparatur Anleitung also says to adjust the free play at the gearbox lever. 🤷♂

I will be doing it the same way as I have for the last 23 years. I am putting a new clutch cable on today. The current one has lasted 19 years and 55000 miles. I guess there is always more than one way to do the same job. I use the directions given in the Haynes Manual. The free play is adjusted at the handlebar. I have seen the video you linked to. I do not rate this man for BMW repairs at all.

@@johnnysevengun I think it's not that critical anyway, it's only 2 mm play we're talking about.
