Hey man quick question, I have the same air filters but I'm having a clearance issue with the clip holding the air filter together hitting the carb, did you also have this issue and if so how did you get around it ? Cheers!

It's very tight. But I put the clip on to the side of the carb and then with the clip on I push the clip underneath the carb.

Does the 2002 use ported or full manifold vacuum for advance? I want to try one in my e30 (Ljet M10). The tuneable type is not available with injection pulse so I will need to choose from the standard maps.

Are those engines good as a first car? What are the main preventive parts to replace?

The M10 engine is incredibly reliable. Almost never have engine problems. My '72 Tii has its original engine, now 52 years old. You really don't have to worry about the engine especially if you buy a car that has been cared for. There are other items on the car that parts are getting hard to find.

No. Choke circuit is removed and capped.

thanks........thank you. here in portugal i have already see lots of them with the original dizzy without vacuum.....i think they put more advance....i dont know..... it had to be the Bluetooth version??

I have the cheaper USB version. You can run your stock distributor but you will have a wierd ignition curve regardless of how much advance you run.

The 123 can be programmed with or without vacuum. It is unplugged on mine.

hummmm ok....i think that 123 dizzy also have de 2002 ti curve......i will buy the distributor and when i put the carbs and cam....i will put alao de distributor. thank you very much

That looks like a non Tii Brake booster. How did you get your sidedrafts to clear the booster (brake servo)?

It fits fine if you use pancake filters.

Yup. 34 Chokes, f960 idle, f16 tubes, 130 main, 200 air

You need to set TDC. There should be a mark on the crank pulley which lines up with a bolt on the front of the engine.

hello im from portugal. im doing 292 cam schrick and some webers 40 sidedrafts....i already have headers i thinks thats the correct name in english....sorry my rusty english....my dizzy is the originial and im afraid that without vacuum it doesent work......

Correct it won't work very well. Your original vacuum distributor will need a vacuum source to work properly. Get a mechanical distributor from a tii or a 123 electronic distributor

@@stevenc22 its true...my original dizzy dont work very well with vacuom unpluged... It idles ok...but the transition at 2500 3000 rpm have some issues...and i think its because de advance not being the correct at that rpm. I will buy the 123.

Tenkaichibudokai22 they run $400- $500 depending on if you get the Bluetooth version. you can upload and change maps from an so in your phone on the Bluetooth version. www.123ignitionusa.com

Howzit guys, please assist I recently got a (e30) 318i m10 engine, I want it to sound better, and performance aswel. I have a budget of $2500. I know nothing about e30s as I own f30. Kindly assist. Kay from south Africa

Howzit Kwazi. Im South African as well but live in the states now. The M10 from the 318i is fuel injected to very different from the M10 dual carburetor engine in my E10. Do some proper maintenance on the engine (Water galleries like to build up calcium deposits), slap an intake and exhaust on the engine and enjoy. These cars will never be super fast, but they can be fun. They handle better than any modern car on the road so put your real money into the suspension and handling.
