Great to see this 992 being used properly today. The closest I'll ever get to owning one 😢
The M4 was running the excellent EBC RPX pads and AR-1 tyres v the cup 2 tyres of the Porsche so quite an advantage. Also, the Porsche had a passenger so probably about equal weight.
Was wet in the morning but thankfully dried up in the afternoon. Miles off the 2.05 lap I think it could do on these tyres, running at best a mid 2.09. About 2.5 seconds slower than its time on Cup 2! The track was busy so there weren't really any clear laps. Excuse book page 1 😂
Huge fun though, and driving the car on decent tyres again has convinced me not to start modifying stuff. It handles fine. Yes, maybe it'd be a bit quicker with better suspension but in the M4 it's frustrating if you're chasing lap times and unless you find a GT3 that's willing to play, pretty lonely too. It's a good balance as it is. And it's built like a tank for track days, touch wood unbreakable, love it ❤
