It’s called emissions regulations and progress. I had the E60 - which to me was a great engine and a so-so car. Many lamented the turbos in the f90, but progress is inevitable- not surprised we landed here

@@kp2855 engine was amazing - V10 that revved up 8000+. It used to howl, a sound I have not heard since. The gearbox was clunky, SMG. That was the main gripe. I loved it nonetheless.

I so wish I could get an i5 M60 with this body and styling. I think the M5 with the wide body and body color painted sides looks so much better than the regular G60 / i5

A brand new engine (s68). The goal of this New engine wasn't really power output but improved fuel efficiency. It has the ability to work with electric motors unlike the previous M5's engine.

If you really look at the details of the car, it kind of has some features like my f80 m3 with the widebody fenders and the front bumper( modernized). In my opinion M cars are supposed to have an "aura" when you drive them , this car will definitely deliver in that aspect.

If you are a diehard M5 owner you know the Competition version always comes in the second year of a new model, so look for the BEAST IN 2026. 🥰😉

Apparently no competition version coming according to Carwow review ?! Just M5 then a CS version…which makes more sense.

You know nothing about M cars, nowadays the competition model always releases with the standard m car. As it has been confirmed by Carwow there will be no competition model for this gen.

No drift analyzer? 🤔 Considering when you go to the M Driver's Schools you learn to drift on an M5 C...I dunno. Maybe M drivers should be product managers. Judging here oc, but somewhere along this leadership someone has made some poor decisions in regards to the scope of what an "M" car should be regardless of size or series.

0-60 in 3.55 secs??? Wow my 2022 M3 Comp (stock) does it in 3.4! Hmmmmm…. I thought the new M5 would do 3.0 or maybe a bit less…..

please listen to me : This "HEAVY" M5 will be more INSANE on track than previous BMW M5 CS because its using the philosophy of using weight to generate grip. WAIT AND SEE THE UPCOMING DAYS. YOU ALL WILL BE AMAZED 😮

S63 is 800hp. Gt is 840 hp. Why tf is m5 only 730hp?

@@klyphman1373 I got you but they already tested and it went 3.4 which is a lot slower than the current version and the gt63 se which is doing 2.9 and is a direct competitor. I was hoping there will be a competition but suddenly no. Idk if it’s going to possible to at least tune the engine but everything looks sad by now.

Once the tuners get hold of this. We will have all these turned to 1000 hps running around the streets. 3.5sec to 60 a lie i am sure it will do less than 3sec in real world.

Very sad days my F90 M5 Ultimaye 2023 is now a "keeper" this thing is way too heavy much wider (UK roads will be a test in towns) and the uk price will be high also. I can't see any speed advantage over the outgoing car as the weight is huge. Also having to put huge amounts of petrol and electric into it seems mad to me.Good luck getting buyers.

I agree with you, but only to a point. Your F90 was already an abominably heavier car than its predecessor, as has been the case for years. I have zero doubt that the M engineering staff has worked their way around it. Can’t wait to spec my Touring!
