Because P65B40 is almost identical to P60B40 from m3 gtr. Transmission that is mated with it in M3 GT2 just has far less of the whine, but engine itself sounds exacly the same. Which is also why all stupid studios which dont bother to represent M3 GTR right have no excuse because getting M3 GT2 or Z4 GT3 for recording session is very easy in comparison to M3 GTR and sound is exacly the same

@@erojerisiz1571 it's not just the crank. Firing order is different on p60-65. Also cam profiles are totally a lot more agressive on these cars.

Well Its sounds indetically to M3 GTR, transmission whine is just almost silent so you finally can hear the engine itself. P65B40 is pretty much identical to P60B40. A worthy Successor :)

No, but it's two tracks joined together for one race. The Nurburgring has two parts, the Formula One Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife. The Nordschleife is the track that road cars try to set records on. For endurance races like VLN and Nurburgring 24 they combine the two tracks.

you can go back itno the pits before you go on the Nordschleife for whatever reason after going around the Gp track

Its the P65B40 instead of the P60B40.. Its the successor of the M3 GTR

He is correct it sounds alot alike it it's also a 4.0L V8 with flat plane crankshaft.

Both are slightly different, but sound similar because they use a flatplane crankshaft. The M3 GTR (P60B40) has a larger bore (94mm) and shorter stroke (72mm) than this M3 GT2 (P65B40) with a 92mm bore and a 75mm stroke. Both displace 4.0 liters but the P65B40 was based off the S65 engine in the E92 road version (the M3 GTR was built specifically for ALMS).

maybe less considering these are about as fast as Porsche GT2s which can do high 6:30s

forza 7 is not a benchmark for real life
