This is extremely impressive. Have the '99 (the year, not the ice-cream) and it's also getting a bit shabby looking. But this is insane, dude! Really love what you did. May she stand you in good stead.

For my 2004 R1150R Rockstar: Anyone direct me to a video on DIY replacing injector lines. Distributor is under the battery. Removed tank and battery, but battery rack is above distributor. Lines are leaking/old.

This video only shows the full reassembly. I don't have enough picture for a video about the engine and frame re-spray.

Nice work, great to see the whole rebuild process for this model! Which paint(s) did you use for the engine and drive train?
@flyingklaasman6 ай бұрын
Thank you. It was done with rattle cans. Eastwood Chassis for the black VHT engine paint for the silver bits. This one need curing, which on the engine happens with the heat of it, but transmission and suspension bits went into the oven. 50degrees Celsius for I think it was 30minutes. It says it on the can.

@@flyingklaasman Thanks for the tip, I'll get the VHT engine paint. And will try to find a used electric oven somewhere for the curing. Yesterday I painted the plastic parts with VHT high temperature plastic paint matte black, they came out as new.

Hi. Interesting film. I have the same thing in front of me.Unfortunately, I did not disassemble the bike myself. Is it possible to get the whole film? Thanks

These are all the pics I took. I've made a kind of stop motion film. But what could help you is a Haynes manual for the R1150.

This is awesome. How did you clean the heat fins on the cylinder heads so well?
@flyingklaasman2 жыл бұрын
The cylinder heads went to blasting but on the cylinder block I did with a mini drill and steel brushes..

Very impressive! Are you a mechanic or is this just a hobby? Moreover, could you define "low budget" in numbers? 😁
@flyingklaasman2 жыл бұрын
This was just a hobby project, I do have some affinity with the hands on mechanical things, what surely helped. I must have spent around 30% of what I paid for the bike.

@@flyingklaasman thanks for the 0.0 information about the money you spent... Just tell us how much one should expect to spend even if it is 'low' budget.

@ just because you asked so nicely.. :p About 600pounds but I see some places on the crash bars that need some redoing.

@@flyingklaasman Thank you. What was the most expensive/unexpected thing while you do the rebuild.

@ I did take the cylinder heads of to blast them. The new seals were def a surprise.
