Absolutely loving the new bike and looking forward to its first service so I can experience what it can really do😃👍 I chose the black wheels as the gold ones don’t do anything for me; have also changed the white hand guards for black. BMW with it’s premium price and beauty needs to step up with the electric windscreen, heated seats, decent horn, backlit switches, etc. Triumph just “gets it”.

hi,i'm thinking to switch from a 2018 harley davidson road glide special to a bmw r1250 gsa,the thing worries me is that i wanted a standard gsa but i'm 5 foot eight;will be a problem with the eight? i dont want a lower one because apparently they loose the adventure setting thanks

I thought this was a sketch from the "fast show" then it turns out at the end that you're both real people! Brilliant! Bought the same 1250 HP, and changed from a 2016 GSA, I think the difference is night and day, new one is so much better in every area, wait till you can turn the tap on fully using the gear shift, makes me laugh every time, it's mental Can't really understand why you would keep the older GSA too though, why would you ever choose to use that if it was parked next to the newbie?

Really nice vid guys, well done! I have an R1250 GS Exclusive thats done just under 2000 miles now and when you wind it on it really surprises you what power it has top end. Perfect for low speed moves but i wasn't ready for the kick (and I guess the use of that second cam position) when I first turned on the 'Tap". Perfect bike in every respect for me. I'd still like a ride on a tiger though to appreciate probably what I've already got. They both get rave reviews and seem to be the benchmark for guys 'of a certain age'. No regrets so far. Safe and happy riding!

Heard some good excuses in my time to buy another bike, but similar but very slightly different handling isn't bad :-)

Now the BIG question: What was the cost out the door price for each one of these models? Here where I live you can buy a brand new Tiger 1200 for about $13,500 (USD) and the BMW is around $24,000 (USD). So the big question is: Is the BMW worth $10,000 more? Personally I say no... curious about your opinion.

No competition GS wins every time

I’ve got a 90th Anniversary which I love to bits hence keeping it. Had a water cooled GSA which was good but still enjoyed riding the 90th more. My main disappointment was a serious lack of engine braking in the WC, it went well, all the trinkets worked, but need a lot more use of the brakes than the 90th when the ‘Tap had been Turnied’. The 1250 has returned the big smile, rides more like the 90th, has the holy grail of engine braking again, normality has been resumed. 😎

I´m 1000Kms into my new r1250gsa, coming from the Tiger for the last 3 years. The BMW is far far far better then the Truimph, the engine, the handling, the tech....

I've had X 3 GSA BMW after a year or two if you don't keep on top of them they age badly engine case edges and tele-lever joint edges corrode and paint flakes blisters, the brake discs rust. Now I have a Triumph and just waiting for my new one they still look good as new. I'll never buy another BMW If you don't believe me go to the dealers and look round I bet even the BMW demonstrators already have rusty discs
