Nice informative video Billy. I think BMW should be doing a recall and fitting these but that's never going to happen. At least they are an easy fit.

Ótima informação! Aqui no Brasil está ocorrendo muitos furtos dos TFTs. Estou procurando uma solução para evitar na s1000rr mas não encontro.

Missing the TFT isn't your biggest problem. I was told that you cannot start the engine if the TFT is missing. You better move your bike as soon as you become aware of your stolen TFT, otherwise they will steal your GS the night after.

@@BillysBikeAdventures I didn't test it if it's true that you can not start your engine. But on a holiday or travel abroad it is annoying if you have to wait for spareparts.

Thief may try to brute force the TFT and break it instead of stealing it. I'm going to stick with the $500 insurance deductible. :). Good video. Thank you.

Hey mate - they may well try but it’s pretty strong. I think it would make too much noise to try and rip it off with the bracket on. Hopefully will never find out. Stay safe 👍🏼

Of course you both are correct. Will never forget the radio thief who stole the radio out of my 75 Camaro. Determined. Ripped the entire dash out just to get a $200 deck. If a thief refuses to leave without the extra secured BMW TFT the problem just 10 folded.

Thanks. A bit pathetic that Cymarc don't measure out the adhesive felt, eh? Costs nothing, and, I'm guessing quite, easy to crease by accident, get it stuck to itself, whilst applying.
