I did this today, aligment is also off and idrive is giving a stability error due to steering sensors misreading. Will get this sorted out tomorrow.

Old video i know - and i'm about to do mine - you dont need to torque the tie rod nut on the steering rack? read needs to be 80nm but not easily to do, but saw you just used heavy duty spanner. Also do you need to torque the connection between the new inner and outter rod connections?

Always best to torque to spec!

HELP! I’ve gotten a refresh kit and did one side quite alright but when I got to the other side (driver’s side) I’ve gotten to the tie rods and the inner is stuck on the steering rack, any advice? I’ve tried channel locks and a pipe wrench, I’m about to cut it down to be able to use a socket. Please help?

Also, I’m in the states so driver’s side is opposite

It doesn't usually sieze on there, are you turning it the correct way with a pipe wrench?

@@GeorgeAusters Sorry for the long response time but I was able to get it out with a 24” adjustable wrench, I think I just more leverage. Now I’m having trouble getting an axle out lol.

Was it impossible just to change the track rod, where u say it was seized? Cant it not be heated out?

Its pointless changing one piece of the track rod assembly... I always change the whole lot

@@GeorgeAusters sorry for my naivety but why is it pointless changing the one piece? I had to grind off the bolt today but seen that the piece can be disconnected from where u said it siezes from. Not sure if i can remove it from there but if i can surely it saves time n money?!

@@GeorgeAusters not sure uve understood me. It wasnt worn on yours? U ended up reusing the boot.
