Mine sets the alarm off, so in my case (USA) have to hold it for 4 seconds then let go and it goes up

need to be active this in order to work , different car , different coded … but can be done with Carly easily

I have a 2010 4.8i and both button on center dash and key fob only open but won't close. I have to use the button on the tailgate to close the trunk. Is it normal or do I need to do coding to close the trunk from inside the dash and from key fob?

I think that was the same with mine initially, I think it's a safety thing, but I used the Carly App and dongle and it think I managed to do it through that. I think, also, there may be restrictions in the US, again for safety (lawsuits)

Seems possible with Bimmer code, not sure if it can be done with Carly, I’ll take a look. Some say it needs to slam to make sure it shuts even when the boot is packed full.

@@paulcruse Not with Carly. But has to be changed one number in all line. I think Ibhave 12 or 20. Rest is 40!

@@paulcrusemeinen sie nur denn Carly Adapter kaufen und dan funktioniert oder muss in Werkstatt noch Teile kaufen damit so was funktioniert.Danke

@@flamurzhitia7007the Carly adaptor helps you to code things that are potentially available on your car. If you do not have an electric operating tailgate then, naturally, this could not be coded to close with the key fob.

@@flamurzhitia7007I’m not sure how it will work with aftermarket installations, but Carly can also help with other options and with diagnosing faults and with clearing them. It’s a pretty good tool to have
