@HaziqJuraimi1997 The smaller a chain ring is the lighter it can be without sacrificing strength so much. Also it keeps it out of the way for certain tricks.

@FLYSTRT91614 жыл бұрын
@FMXrider45 it's pretty much harder doing a fakie without a freewheel because pretty much you'll have a temptation to pedal it backwards but also with out a freewheel wen you go down you can push back on it and wen it brakes just swing it like a fakie
@bigd02119113 жыл бұрын
@iiTrick same. it took me for ever to learn. now there is never a time when i can get out of fakie. its like natal now.
@GBAPCLAN14 жыл бұрын

@NickVanderwood13 жыл бұрын
@ReaP4R101 Okay, I had the same problem at first. But practice your balance, but what helped me was doing a normal footjam and bring the back end up, then your back end will slowly go down, and it will give you a momentum backwards once you land and pedal slowly backwards and turn your bars to which way you like it, and while you are doing that, keep your body to the opposite side in where you're turning your handlebars and keep pressure on cranks and ride forward... Hope this helps ;)
@Toothdoctah13 жыл бұрын
Easier said than done is right, but guys here is a major tip that allowed me to learn this. I can 180 forever now: the way it works for me is, when im faking if my bike falls to the left then i should turn to the left. If it falls to the right then I turn to the right... Also the faster you fakie the easier it is to maintain control. ;)

fakie should take 1 full day if you really pay attention and do each step, it took me about 2 days to learn fakie, i was doing em wrong day 1, watched hti again and got em.

tried back-pedalling? or put 1 foot on pedal and use ur other leg to balance???
@WhyiTzDaedae11 жыл бұрын
Lean far back like when you manual to give yourself more balance, Body control is important, and realize everything you're doing backwards is reversed. Right = Left, Left = Right

@yztrevorton25013 жыл бұрын
would a smaller front sprocket help this because i have a 398 tooth sprocket and it seems i have a hard time to restart pedaling
@solopach11 жыл бұрын
Basic physics; so long as you are moving you are creating stability. That's how a bicycle works.

how do you balance your bike when going backwards
@BattyBitz13 жыл бұрын
@ThiefsJerkin Okay? Good for you man. I hope you know I wasn't talking about doing little 180s in a parking lot and rolling out. That's not a whole to brag about. I'm talking like right after 180 that stair that you're unsure about or 180ing into something or over something when you have a lot of speed that a false-balance can make you flip and eat shit. You see pros doing it all the time. But if you never do that. That's cool too.
@BattyBitz13 жыл бұрын
@samcook658 Yeah, you younger kids have been flying up in the ranks. I was referring of like balls out fast 180 a good-sized stair, then just that backwards-instant-heartattack feeling.
@zp194413 жыл бұрын
im trying to learn this as my first real trick for BMXing and its hard as balls. Considering i have bent both of my rims and its hard to even get going backwards. Anybody got any other tricks i could start out with?
@dipsie1213 жыл бұрын
what if we dont have a casette whee? and it dosnt force us to pedal backwards

@STRIMIX14 жыл бұрын
U should have said that to start practicing a fakie, just go to a ramp and slowly let yourself role backwards with your foot on the floor to keep your ballance! When you get the hang of it, try it without th foots on the ground and soon it will go easier and easier!

Im ride right foot front, but I "Attempt" 180s to my right and ive been hearing you have to go left if your right foot front. Is there really a difference? Same with fakie, Im learning them by spining out to the right.
