Every. Single. Time. As with many true artists, actors, comedians, singers, etc. who are depressed, they try to make others laugh so that they never have to feel that low. Giving others a laugh when they can't even laugh themselves.

Bo is needed. He's one of those once in a generation type of people. Are You Happy immediately follows this in the special, and then All Eyes On Me kind of explains what happened after, and it rocks my world every time. He actually won a Grammy foe All Eys On Me. He's so special.

I was tearing up with you and I saw this show live. I was crying at the end, felt hypocritical to clap but I didn't know how else to try and let him know he was appreciated for being honest, that I wanted to just fucking hug him. During this recording, he went into a panic attack during the last bit of the song. He couldn't get the mic to turn off so he dropped it while it was on and went back to his dressing room and broke down for an hour (per one of the few interviews he's done since). All Eyes on Me from his Inside special is a good next step. Him talking about those panic attacks and trying to get better. It'll make you cry, but fuck it's worth it. He also did a couple movies that were amazing. Acted and I believed helped with production of Promising Young Woman, and wrote Eighth Grade, both absolutely incredible.

You're the first reactor I've seen that responded to 14:40 the same way I did. "I guess I'll just shut up and do my job, so here I go" followed by going right back into the burrito bit. Except, this time, he's just like a mindless drone performing for his audience. He knows the audience doesn't care about what he's feeling. He's there to perform, and that's what they paid for. It really opened my eyes to viewing celebrities in a different light. Who knows what they have going on behind the stage? It's absolutely genius, and I'm sad for anyone who watches this and just laughs along the whole time as if it's still a comedy skit by the end.

For me, the gutpunch was when he went back into the chorus and people cheered and laughed as if he hadn't just dropped a truth bomb on them. Then he spelled it out "You can tell them anything if you make it funny, if you make it rhyme."

He took a five year hiatus because he was having severe panic attacks on stage. He was just about ready to start touring again when COVID hit. He talks about it on his Netflix Special "Inside".

He wouldn't have got the fame if he knew it wouldn't fit. He always covers deep subjects in a humorous way. He has so many masterpieces, "Welcome To The Internet" is one of his best.

He's a TRUE artist....I watched this video a few months ago without knowing him at all and I couldn,t stop crying at the end....and GREAT par of that I think it had to do with the lighting. I have to tell you I have watched many many reactions to this song and you are one of the only reactors who got it before Bo gave it to you and then it hit your feels for reals. I've read that the passive aggressive tone of "I hope you're happy" was kind of unique to one performance when recording the special, and the editor chose that one over the more genuine delivery. Bravo for that, because the double and opposing meaning of that line really is brilliant and fits perfectly with the message of the song...I want to make you happy but I'm giving up part of myself to do it.

Let's give the lighting designer some love too. It was a phenomenally basic design that did everything it needed to do. I'm a lighting designer by trade. When I was going to school for design, my set design instructor said, "We set designers have a god complex. We get to create the world the actors live in." I raised my hand and said, "Yeah but we lighting designers get to tell them how they feel about it." I think this is a perfect example of that. The lighting designer brings the ambiance and notice when the crowd response. It always corresponds to the lighting.

When you watch this again (bc of course you will lol) pay attention to the lighting as well. There are levels and meaning to that as well which show his genius as well. The light shining behind him hiding his face during performing showing (I’m just a performer) and the light on his face and everything else blacked out when he is doing his monologue. I know there are extra levels and I read someone’s comment before about it that really dove into it. If anyone has more please share. Great reaction, I loved it

2:30 live auto tune is actually not that easy to use because you still have to hold the note in between a certain range or it jumps from one note to the next all the time. holding a note with autotune for a few seconds means that you held that note even without it. the only difference is that yours doesn't have to be 100% on pitch and it can't have a strong vibrato because that would make the note jumpy too. what many people confuse and call autotune is actually tuning in the post processing that is done by hand with some helping algorithm that do the hard work in the background, but the music producer/magician still has to go through all the notes and set the note he wants and correct errors or sound glitches that can appear when you shift around or smooth the sound wave.

He only stopped performing live for about 5 years. During that time he directed performances for a couple other big comedians, and made a movie called "8th Grade." In 2020, he was feeling ready to perform live again, but then Covid hit. So he made the special "Inside" in his back yard guest house instead, with lighting, camera work, set design and music mixing all by himself.

Highly recommend all of his stuff. His very early work was more shock value stuff but still worth a watch.

He came back with a special in 2020... maybe 2021, called Inside which that full special is fantastic, and there is a sequel to this song in that Special called "All Eyes on Me" so I really would suggest you check out that song next. Also since you questioned how old he is, he turned 30 in 2020, so he is either 31 or 32.

I cant watch this without crying. Hearing the crowd cheer and laugh as hes litetally telling them hes breaking down and how no one understands and just wants him to "do the funny". Litetally proving his point in real time. "if they still dont understand you run it one more time" Pointing out how they completely missed the point even after he flat out told them. Its among the most tragic things Ive ever seen.

We are an empath and feel the emotion he put into creating this. For me, get the emotion from the song AND emotions from the reaction. It's it's a crazy feeling.

Everyone starts out laughing, and then the change hits. Reactors respond one of two ways, either the message goes completely over their head and they fail to see this man is literally saying he can't do this anymore, he is leaving, all while still trying to preform AND having a panic attack on stage (Hence his screams, especially the last one). OR, the reactor gets it and realizes what is happening and more often then not get emotional. I am someone who loves to watch reaction videos, I look for new content creators all the time and this is one video I always look for reactions to cause it will tell me how closely the creator is paying attention and their level of empathy and awareness.

You need to watch his Netflix special "INSIDE" - it's amazing. Watch it all the way through and react as you go if you want, but watch it all in context.

To sum up what happened to his career after this, he decided to stop performing on stage because of panick attakcs he had on stage. That's preaty much the feeling he is trying to convey with this song by the way. However, he didn't stop creating. He directed a movie called Eighth Grade which is about middle school, and played in a few movies like Promising Young Woman. Then, almost out of nowhere, at the begining of june 2021, about five or six years after he quit comedy on stage, a new special/ movie-ish product came out on Netflix. In it, he explains what I explained above, and also says that in january of 2020 he felt in a good enough mental state to start performing on stage again. And as everybody knows, COVID happened. So that's when he started to make the special which is called Inside. In this, we see his mental health decline again... Inside is both a special because of its construction, but at the same time, it has something which feels like an actual narrative structure. Many people, including me, consider it as a movie, even though that's not how it is presented. Inside is one of the greatest peace of media to be made in the last few years, you should give it a look.
