From 2013, this is an extra from the Board James DVD, which we will hopefully have back in stock again in the coming year. In the video, you can hear us talking about the early plans for the new episodes. At the time this was recorded, DreamPhone was the most recent episode. After the completion of the AVGN Movie Blu-ray features (2014), the new Board James episodes finally began production in early 2015. The season finale is "NIGHTMARE".

Hilarious how many games they looked at in this video that they ended up doing for Board James. Love the direction that series took by the way. I'm sure James had no idea when he started that that he would end up taking it to a serial Twilight Zone place.

I remember the first time I saw the Goosebumps board game was in a school bus that belonged to some kid. I was obsessed with the Goosebumps books at the time and I even started coming up with ideas on how I can get to the board game. I even considered introducing myself and trying to befriend him. For a goddamn board game

Just divide the dominos into sections, and put a book/brick or something to lock-off each section. Then fill inn the blocks at the end. Avoids epic domino fails.

Wacky blasters was one of the old games in the games cupboard at my grandmother's house and I was so thrilled when they did it on Board James. We had so many old board games my aunt picked up at yard sales in that cupboard that had missing pieces or no instructions so we had to make it up as we went along, wacky blasters included. We had no idea what we were supposed to do.

I remember the game Nightmare. I played it when I was 10 and it scared me. I remember you had to say the fraze "Yes gate Keeper" I always thought he somehow knew everything that was happening.

There's a board game called Capital Punishment. Maybe if you want to continue Board James, you can use that game where the BJ who was on death row and then executed was actually another avatar of BJ within a game. Story wise, it would help you be allowed to continue.

it's funny that they mentioned that they haven't done a Halloween themed Board James episode, especially considering the last couple episodes that have been released. the show has definitely moved in a new direction. all the episodes feel like Halloween now. I kinda miss the uplifting fun episodes like in season 1. everything is so dark and twisted now.

Nightmare was fun as a kid. We played it once on Halloween. It blew us away that sometimes he'd punish people who were making fun of him, because obviously all of us were doing it.

I liked the sequil to Nightmare called The Harbingers, where the board was divided into segments that each had the normal world on one side and the underworld on the other side.

JAMES! MIKE! Now you got to check out this movie called "Beyond the gates" about a 1980s VHS role playing game but like Jumanji bad things are happening until they finish the game. it's rated R and full of 1980s type music and just all-around awesome. if you like Don Coscarelli movies like "Phantasm" and "John dies at the end", you would freaking love it. but if you haven't seen either "John dies at the end", any of the Phantasm movies you have to stop what you're doing right now and watch those movies.

With the Goosebumps bit, I cannot agree more with James, I had tons of goosebumps books and eventually the local store that stocked them came out with more and more and more books, it was unbelieveable and hard to keep up with the reading. I think the last one I read was "Welcome To Camp Jellyjam"

I hope this is only the 'Season' finale thats upcoming and not the final episode of Board James altogether. I LOVE Board James, hell I even prefer it to the AVGN stuff. If u ever decide to make another feature length movie, PLEASE consider doing a Board James one! :) Board James is the thing I am most excited to see you working on nowadays :) Keep up the good work, long live Board James! :)

I know AVGN does not play modern board games but I would have liked to see them play the WoW board game. Man I bought that for a friend and we spend an hour learning the rules, drinking and setting it up. After that we did not feel like playing anymore. He still has it, maybe one day we will play it.

One of the more interesting board games I own is a Star Trek adventure game that actually has a variation of the rules for playing it by yourself if you don't know anyone else who's into Star Trek. Pretty neat!

Don't open the Zelda board game, if its packaged its worth MUCH more. Instead, get a opened one for cheaper to use for playing.
